Incredibly unique stay: 10/10 food (vegan and nut free options, chef was always open to our requests), fantastic and kind staff (Supun the owner and his dad were so kind and Isuru was lovely!), beautiful views right from the bed, comfortable bed, the constant sounds of wildlife, fantastic tours available!

We stayed one night in abimansala resort. It was really a nice experience. They’re a really kind family. The food was really good. The location was beautiful. It’s a nice place to stay. It’s quiet, clean. They gave us some pepper to take back home. It’s near by a river that you can take a bath. It’s really a nice place to be in immersion with nature. We recommend this place.

Getting there by private car was a challenge, google maps is simply not accurate. Best way is to contact resort before. The team is outstanding, booked only a day before and they managed to make us feel at home. Will come back for sure

This place honestly felt like a fairytale. You wind your way in through a lush rainforest path, skip across a felled tree and stumble upon a treehouse nestled in a clearing right by a bubbling brook. Loved the adventure, loved the location, would love to have stayed longer.

We put 10 out of 10 because we cannot put more. The area is amazing, off the beaten-path Our host Rohana is extremely knowledgeable about his country and more, his English is very good, we could converse with him for hours. The dishes prepared by himself and Nisha were absolutely delicious. Last but not least, the room has the biggest bed that we have never seen and comfy, the view is breathtaking on the landscape, sunrise, sunset,… This place is an hidden gem for nature lovers, people seeking for authentic and genuine encounters with locals. The place is perfect if you want to escape the city noise and be fully in the nature! It was just a perfect place to relax, get very interesting insights into the local life and also explore the mountains and waterfalls by hiking! Can just recommend this place! It is located next to the river, you will hear all night the nice sounds of the water! Also the people are just heartwarming! They care a lot and the owner Jaya made us feel like being at home! He showed us around everywhere and did take care of everything! We really enjoyed our two days and would have loved to stayed longer!
