It was such a calm, quiet and pretty hotel. Great location - only 2 minute walk to the beach. Room had air con and a fan and the outside bathroom was lovely.

We had an amazing stay at Halcyon in Mawella! The hotel is perfectly located – peaceful, with a quiet, clean beach just steps away. The atmosphere is super relaxing, and the pool area is beautiful with plenty of sunbeds, so there’s always a spot to unwind. We ate all our meals at the hotel – breakfast, lunch, and dinner – and every single one was delicious. The food is a wonderful mix of Sri Lankan flavors with some Western touches, fresh and full of taste. The setting is gorgeous and the staff are genuinely friendly, making the whole experience even better. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a laid-back, beautiful spot to enjoy the south coast of Sri Lanka!

It was incredible stay for us, especially experience on lagoon going throught lotus fields and watching sunset and bats was non-transferable experience. Also Mawella beach and little fisherman harbour had unforgettable poetics.And also it is impossible not to mension very comfortable beds in bungalows and very friendly and always helpful staff.Thank you, Suresh!

We stayed here after our safari in Udawalawe and we experienced total peace & luxury. The food/coffee/cocktails, service, people and surf!! are great here. The bed was the best we ever slept in. We were so sad we had to leave this place, if we could, we would have stayed many more nights. 100% recommend!
