The staff were an exceptionally nice family. Helped with everything starting with a welcome drink and ending by hailing our bus down to the next town. They also arranged our safari for the cheapest price we had come by, with an excellent guide.

We loved the lodges, made 70% of natural product also by the owner himself with photographs taken in national parks which added to the whole safari vibe. The couple were fantastic, offering free walking safari upon arrival and seeing at our door with tray of tea and biscuits after long day on safari. Offering wake up calls (also with tea and biscuits) and fantastic breakfast and lunch on safari and also homemade Sri Lanka dishes for dinner each evening. Food was so tasty and they really put so much effort in to make it special and check that we were happy and had eaten enough. The lodge is clean, has everything you need (very effective air co) and cool bathroom with net at top to look out at nature and surroundings! They also arranged everything in terms of safari trip to Wilpattu and we got to see sloth bears and a lot more! Really loved our stay here. 100% recommend!

Owner gave us a nice birdwatching tour in the evening, they were always ready to bring us whatever we needed and when we came back they had fresh watermelon juice ready for us to enjoy. Besides that, the wife of the owner is an extremely good cook. To top things off, we even got the brand new room they had just finished. It also a great base of operations for day trips in to the fabulous Wilpattu park.

I believe this guest house is ideal for people doing a Wilpattu Safari: - it is located right next to the park entrance. - it is not luxurious, but who needs a luxurious hotel if you are going to spend the entire day on safari anyway? - the AC worked great, the bed slept well and it has an ensuite shower and toilet. - they were happy to supply lunch and breakfast for the safari, and prepare dinner as well. I ate very well there. - the hostess was very kind and happy to help with questions. - if you are lucky you may already spot some animals from your window! I saw a wild peacock and monkeys. But apparently elephants also sometimes roam through nearby fields.

Great location. Exceptional management and staff from a family run establishment. Warm and friendly reception. I was welcomed with a hug. Very tasty food. Amazing safari drive. Highly knowledgeable driver gave us exceptional experience highlited by seeing a leopardess sucking her cubs. Full day safari with Ceylon Resort is highly recommend. Eco conscious. Approach

I can’t rate my stay highly enough. This is my second visit here. I came back to see if I could find the elusive sloth bear and I did on my first days safari I was lucky enough to have Anton and Randy as guides. Also saw a variety of birds and a leopard walking in a distance on the road, a truly beautiful sight. Second day I went with Chamod who was an excellent spotter of birds even saw a leopard on the beach across the lake. Of course this is a National Park and you have to be lucky to see leopards and bears but the quality of the guide is a must. This is why I returned to Anton and his team. The food was excellent and bountiful. Breakfast the morning I left was a feast . Nothing is too much trouble, one evening they even arrange a birthday cake for a guest after dinner. Water is provided also there was never a problem if I wanted coffee or boiling water for my tea. Anton is passionate about wildlife and his customers, you can really feel it. At the end of my stay he even took me to the bus stop and made sure I got on the right bus. I can’t thank the team enough for another amazing 3 night stay. You can go wrong with your stay here. Excellent accommodation at a budget price.

We had an unforgettable stay at this charming guesthouse in Sri Lanka - the hospitality was beyond exceptional, and every detail felt so thoughtfully curated. The rooms were spotless and cozy, surrounded by lush greenery that created a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. We stayed here to be close to the safari in Wilpattu. It was a very nice stay with huts surrounded by trees and tranquility. We enjoyed the homemade food provided for dinner and a lovely traditional Sri Lankan breakfast. We met the owner on the second day and he took us for a walk around the fields He explained some interesting facts about the animals and birds and we even saw elephant tracks. We weren't so lucky in the safari so this made up for it. We enjoyed relaxing on the hammock after the safari. The place is relatively new and seems that they are working on improving the facilities. I think that it will be even nicer once completed. Highly recommended.
