We were upgraded to a small apartment for the same price. Quiet. A short walk into town and closer to tea plantations. Owner was very friendly and wanting to attract more foreign tourists to Pussallawa.

The hotel is very modern and clean. The pool was also very clean and offers a great view over the countryside. We had the same beautiful view from the balcony of the room. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We were a little sick when we arrived so the staff provided us with tea and medicine. We would choose this hotel again on our next trip. Thank you very much for the good time!

We had the most unforgettable stay at The Lavender House in Sri Lanka. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The location is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views all around—truly a piece of paradise. We were welcomed with a wonderful surprise: a room upgrade to what felt like a private, luxurious villa. The space was unbelievably spacious and beautifully designed, offering total comfort and privacy. As we were celebrating our honeymoon, the staff went above and beyond to make it special with lovely welcome snacks and a room decorated with such thoughtful detail—it meant so much to us. Our personal butler was exceptional—attentive, kind, and always ready to help with anything we needed. One of the highlights of our stay was a scenic tour organized for us, and they even packed a delicious lunch box, which was such a considerate touch. Very nice ambiance. Old kolonial style but very neat and well maintained. Only 5 rooms, so very cosy. Large rooms with nice beds. Great view on the surrounding hills. Very kind personel. Fast responding to my changing plans and questions. Good price for a nice rice and curry dinner.

Our stay at Mount Havana was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in a world of serenity, set against the stunning backdrop of rolling hills and lush greenery. The team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for, with every detail thoughtfully arranged. One of the absolute highlights was the Seafood BBQ dinner. The freshness, preparation, and flavour of every dish was simply superb. Mount Havana is a rare gem — peaceful, beautifully maintained, and run by people who genuinely care about your comfort. The villa is so beautiful that you don't want to leave it! The location is perfect too, you have a stunning view from the terrace and from the whole building through big windows. The pool is crystal clear, the house itself is also very clean and tidy. One of the best things was staff - we could reach out to Asanka anytime and his responses were always in under a minute. He and the whole team were very welcoming and helpful - whatever we needed, they were ready to help. We also ordered food from the hotel - not everything was to our liking but it's great that you have an option of ordering something in your dining room, and they do the full service: bring food and clean after. Nonetheless we recommend creamy pasta and devilled pork. But the best food was breakfast: delicious fresh juices, fruit, omelette, sausages and grilled bread - it was always a great start of a day. Rooms are spacious, bathroom is very comfortable - there is always hot water and the pressure is good. There is water supply so you don't have to worry about buying plastic bottles. All in all, i really recommend this place, we didn't manage to hike down the river because of the weather, but there is much to do here:)

Absolutely stunning hotel with beautiful views. Just outside the town so very peaceful and a great place to get some rest! The pool is great and the hosts could not do more to help and make our stay amazing! Would highly recommend!
