we stayed here already before some years ago. The villa is in mint condition, very clean and the staff is really helpful. The location is right on the almost empty beach, so you can have a Robinson feeling... We went swimming in the ocean right in front of the property - no problem. The Germany owners run a restaurant right next to the villa -also on the beach - with very jummy food. The restaurant is called "Blue Dolphin" - do not miss to eat there. Sure we will return in one or two years time ......

Everything. From the friendly, family run hosts to the large, exceptionally clean room with a very comfortable outside sitting area. The included breakfast was delicious! It is only a few steps away to a small, scenic beach with a couple of restaurants. The son was able to provide a comfortable tuk tuk ride to my next destination for a very reasonable price which was very convenient. If I was to stay in Tangalle longer I’d probably opt for the bigger beach area east of town but as a stopover I cannot recommend the Sea Bay Inn highly enough.

This stay was the best one in Sri Lanka - everything was perfect - delicious breakfast, tasty lobster for dinner, good wi-fi, always enough hot water, adapters to charge phones, wonderfully decorated place. Territory is amazing, clean swimming pool, lots of tropical plants. We remember days spent with this lovely family with pleasure.

We had an amazing stay. The Cabanas are spacious and clean. We also liked the food at the restaurant, we tried breakfast lunch and dinner and we liked it very much. The location directly on the beach is perfect. What we liked the most about this place were the people, they were super friendly and helpful, they did everything to make our stay exceptional. They made us feel like we were staying at a friends or familys place.

This hotel is right on to the beach and run by family and everything is cooked fresh on order. Family goes out of the way to ensure your comfort, safety and enjoyment. Overall, it was a great value for the money and best experience I ever had on a beach resort.

    The beach is great.

    The beach is great. Long, empty and in the night there is the possibility for turtle watching. Actually you are not allowed on the beach if you don’t go/pay for turtle watching since it is a hatching place for turtles and they are protecting them in the process.
