The breakfast and dinner were excellent. The swimming pool was lovely too. The owner was so incredibly helpful, he could not do enough to make our stay informative and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend The Sanctum.

This is a great place to stay. The rooms are beautifully clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helped me with many things. I arrived early so they quickly cleaned my room for me, they helped me organise a tuktuk to the train station at 4am on my day of departure, they organised a lovely meal for me, and made sure I could find my way around the peninsula. The stay was very good value as well. Having the donkeys around is really beautiful, and you can spend as much or as little time as you like with them. Each one has its own personality!

I booked a weekend stay for my family here to celebrate my parent's birthday and they loved it! From booking to check-in / check-out, everything went smoothly. The staff onsite (and the support team over the phone) were extremely helpful and they did everything they can to make the stay a memorable one for my family.

The lady at check in was really friendly and showed us around. She was accomodating the rooms were very clean and we were able to organise transport to see Keeri beach from the hotel itself. They have a restaurant that gave us room service even though they don’t usually offer that.

The family who run this guest house provide wonderful hospitality. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying here as the family make you feel very welcome and provide a very clean and comfortable room. The breakfast was delicious Sri Lankan food. If you are in Mannar and you have your our own transport and enjoy staying with local people then this is the place to stay!

Great modern facility located on the outer edge of Mannar. The room was huge with a separate sitting room, a great bedroom, and even a separate kitchen area.
