Tangalle is a hidden gem!
Tangalle is a hidden gem! So many wonderful beaches around the town. I stayed by the Goyambokka beach but preferred the neighbouring Silent beach, which was longer and so beautiful. The town has very little to offer.
The town has very little to offer. It’s a noisy, chaotic typical Sri Lankan town. The only redeeming factor was Silent Beach on the Western side of town. We also enjoyed a nice meal at Cactus Lounge.Guest review byCornelisSpain

We enjoyed celebrating the New Year with a taste of traditional Sri Lankan party food for breakfast and were truly made to feel part of the family. The private beach is ideal for young children, as it's sheltered from the stronger waves just to the left. That beach, to the left, is honestly one of the most stunning we've ever seen. Chami and his family are perfect hosts making you feel right at home. The room I stayed in was the best room I’d had in Sri Lanka at this price point. Breakfast and all meals were tasty and big portions! Rekawa Beach rock pools are a 10 minute walk away and the safe swimming area 15 minutes. The owner and her family are amazing people, very helpul and friendly. The rooms are big and confortable, beautiful and very clean. And the breakfast is really delicious.
