I recently had the pleasure of staying at Diar Illi, and it was nothing short of perfection. Honestly, I have a hard time understanding some of the reviews, unless changes have been made since then. The accommodation is super easy to find, well marked on Google Maps, and the instructions given by the host leave no room for doubt. The villa has everything you could possibly need, from kitchen facilities and utensils to hygiene products. It truly feels like being at home. The space is very private, the garden is beautiful, and the only thing you hear are the birds singing. Last but most importantly, Mr. Omar is an incredible person. I am grateful for all the moments and meals we shared — he was like a father to me. Of course, his presence is optional: he comes early in the morning for maintenance, and afterwards the space is entirely yours. In my case, I chose to have his company, since i was travelling alone , and without a doubt I will carry his friendship with me for the rest of my life.

Our host was very welcoming and helpful, showed us around their beautiful vegetable garden and farm animals, goats, ducks, geese, rabbits etc and two adorable cats. Delicious tea and meals from the garden served on the terrace (or indoors) watching the sunset and mountains.

The farm is beautiful with various animals, including a peacock, and crops. The pool is also lovely, and the greenery and grass are well-maintained. The host is usually available by phone, and if not, his father is there to help. There's also a friendly gardener who lives on the property. Despite living on-site, the gardener respects privacy. His place is accessible when assistance is needed but is located away from the pool and main villa, ensuring both accessibility and privacy. It is not far from Marrakech; the road to Ait Ourir village is close and accessible via at least two routes, but the road is narrow and has many potholes, taking about 10 minutes. Maps and Waze don't usually work well, so it's better to ask the host for directions, as the address on booking sites isn't updated. We discovered a better road to Marrakech at the end of our stay: when you leave the farm, turn right at the main road, keep the water lake "Zaraba" on your left, then take the first left. From there, you can use Waze or Maps to navigate to Marrakech. For directions from Marrakech using this route, it's best to ask the host.

We stayed 18+19 february 2025 at Dar Tadout. Samir was very nice host and took good care of us. The breakfast and dinner were very tasty and elaborate. We payed €16/person/day. That included a bottle of water and some tea during the day which was basically free of charge. Only during dinner there was soft background music playing which was appropriate and nice. I highly recommend this accomodation. The review of the Austrian Lutz Hudelist below I cannot understand. We stayed simultaneously at the accomodation and they seemed happy with their stay and cannot think why they would score so low. It is a DAR, not a luxury hotel. The owner sleeps in one room but is very privacy-minded and low-profile. During your stay you can do a walk to nearby village to view the mountains in the distance and have coffee during the day. Very nice polite and friendly people in village. There is plenty of space in the garden to sit outside and there is WiFi.

Good location, very friendly stuff, room was clean and nothing to complain about. Only smell from toilet was a little bit unconfortable but we stayed only one night so it did not bother us so much. Guys contacted us before arrival and sent directions so that was OK.
