We had a sunset tour on the camel organized from the Oases Tiloqui luxury Hotel, and it was great. From Zagora is 75 minutes by car to reach the location where you can also spend a night in the tents, that it can be quiet unique. We stay only for dinner after the camel tour. No decent size shops not even a proper supermarket eg Carrefour. Can be difficult if not speak French or Arabic . Lots of beggars and sad sights like a man scavenging in bins. Dry and hot and dusty. Zagora is the gate to the Sahara desert.
Zagora is the gate to the Sahara desert. The village itself has a lot of nice bars, restaurants and hotels, and is the starting point for guided tours in the desert, all or not on a dromedary, all or not with an overnight stay in tent camps, for 1 or more days. Next to that, Zagora has twice a week a very big local market (Wednesday and Sunday) that is a must to experience! Further down the N9 you can find the small town Tamegroute, famous for its artisanal green pottery. Also a must to stop there and see the 7 families at work outside.Guest review byLiesBelgium

Just follow the signs on the wall and you will be led to the old Kasbah, one of the only buildings that is kept in a good state. Behind the house is a little sanddune. The keeper and the owner were very friendly and for breakfast they decorated our table with flowers! I stopped here for a night on my car trip from Zagora to Agadir and it was perfect to stroll thru the village after a long ride.
