Everything was super nice: room quality, cleanliness, breakfast. And I especially liked the helpful staff. William, who met us at the reception, was not only very nice and positive, but also suggested some great things for our short visit. Very professional :) I highly recommend the place!

The hotel is in a great location. Easy access to public transport and the ferry to Valletta. The views are amazing. Modern, clean, well equipped rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, food of a very high quality. The hotel restaurant was very good with views of the bay. Room service was fast and efficient. Food from the restaurant was great. A fantastic experience with thanks to all the staff. I'll be back hopefully.

Everything from start to end was absolutely perfect. Family room was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was very good and varied and you can savour it in a restaurant with a beautiful view of the harbour and Valletta skyline. The indoor swimming pool is rather small but is very practical for relax after a long day of sightseeing. The location is also very convenient, most places of interest across the island and the airport can easily be reached by bus or ferry from nearby.

What an impressive user experience! Our first visit to Malta and stay at the AX Hotel was truly exceptional. For a mere 25 euros extra (note: off-peak season), we could upgrade to an Executive Suite with a private sauna. Arrival: The staff left us impressed with their incredible friendliness. Never before have I been treated so warmly and respectfully in any of my previous hotel stays. Despite the affordable off-peak season rates, we experienced top-notch service that made us feel like VIPs (even though we didn't avail ourselves of such treatment). A huge thank you to the entire hotel team for a fantastic vacation. Room: The Executive Suite was an absolute dream. The view could have been better, but the room was one of the cleanest we've ever stayed in. It was spacious and had everything one could need – simply fantastic. The culinary experience was just mega. The variety and quality of the food exceeded our expectations. The waitstaff were uniformly great, always attentive and friendly. Without a doubt, this hotel must be recommended – from the excellent cuisine to the top-notch service, an all-around successful experience. Finally, we would like to express our sincere thanks to the entire staff for this wonderful vacation. Your outstanding service and the friendly atmosphere made our stay an unforgettable experience. Thank you very much!

I really enjoyed the warm welcome from the staff. Alba is a very stylish building with lovely rooms. The pool area and gardens are very refreshing and lovely to cool off and relax. Our stay was made that much better by the warm welcome we received from the owner and the staff every time we met. Breakfast is well worth the money and very delicious. We had a great 7 day holiday.

I stayed here recently and absolutely loved it. The hotel is beautiful and really well thought out - relaxing, stylish, and welcoming. The beach club is stunning, and the rooftop pool became our favourite spot - amazing cocktails! Our room had a private sauna and a chromotherapy shower, which felt like such a treat. But the highlight for me was the bathing experience. It was unlike anything I’ve tried before - four unique pools that felt peaceful and almost magical. It was one of the most relaxing spa experiences I’ve had. Also, breakfast on the 11th-floor terrace was amazing - delicious food with panoramic views that made the morning feel special. Would definitely come back.

A Sassy and Lively City In The Heart of Malta

Scenic and energetic, Sliema is perched on the limestone banks of the Mediterranean Sea in the historic and charming island of Malta. It is a perfect coastal holiday destination and ideal base to discover the Maltese Islands.

A short drive from Sliema, Cirkewwa Ferry Terminal offers direct services to Comino and Gozo, which are great for sightseeing, diving, swimming and the unique boat trip around Blue Lagoon.

Discover Malta, from the marvellous Tarxien Temples, to the traditional and colourful boats and fusions of freshly cooked seafood in Marsaxlokk. Afterwards head to Malta's gems, Mdina and Rabat, then around to the belt of Malta, Valletta which features baroque architecture, historic museums and magnificent views from Fort St Elmo over, and beyond Valletta Harbour.

    Great location for someone younger that can walk up and downhill 15 minutes in any direction to get ferries, food and activities. Loved the staff, daily cleaning and making of bed. Good value. Rooftop pool

    Full of high-rise concrete hotels.

    Full of high-rise concrete hotels. You have to wander away from the promenade to find anything more characterful. That said, it's easy and cheap to grab a bus to the ferry stop to get across to Valetta and the 3 cities.But the prom itself is a pleasant place to walk along with the sea right there. Swimming holes are plentiful and beach bars reasonably priced. Factor in potentially a 30 minute wait for the ferry over if you just missed one, or if the little taxis aren't running. (If it's windy/choppy) if its calm and sunny, the 3euro per person water taxi over to Valetta is a no-brainer; way nicer than crowding onto the big ole ferry.

    Sliema is a very nice place.

    Sliema is a very nice place. Like the rest of Malta, Sliema offers a great variety for all different types of travellers. I would say that I prefer Gozo as a location but Sliema is still very nice and definitely worth visiting. One thing to keep in mind is that the public transport gets very busy all over Malta and this was especially the case in Sliema.

    Sliema is very nice location, but having only very rocky beaches. There are many restaurants and coffee bars, the food is good, but not cheap at all. You could walk along the seaside many kilometers- on both directions (La Valletta and St. Julian).

    "Sliema was absolutely charming. Having previously stayed in St. Paul's Bay and St. Julian's, we found that Sliema was just a short 5-minute bus ride or a pleasant 15-minute walk between the two. Both areas offer an excellent selection of dining options and vibrant bars. Malta, as a whole, is a delightful destination and a perfect choice for a memorable vacation."

    Beautiful location, with fabulous restaurant and beaches. Relaxing location and easy to get boat taxi to visit Valetta which is a must during your visit to Malta. Good value for money. Ate in Manta Beach club in Sliema- food was excellent and so was the service. Ate in Valetta the second night and dined in Sfoglia - again food and service were great. In St. Julians ate in Cub restaurant which was great also. Hung out in one of Beach clubs which was very relaxing.

    The room was just what we expected and it helped to also have a kitchen. Was clean and comfortable and breakfast was fantastic, everything we needed. I was especially surprised by the professionalism of Yasser (I believe the name was ) in the reception area. He was simply amazing and treated us like if we were in a 5 star Hotel. In addition Joanna upstairs in the breakfast area was super friendly and helpful every day, we were treated really well and would not doubt to come back again. Thank you all!

    Lovely modern hotel right on the promenade in Sliema, lots of restaurants, bars, shops nearby. The ferry to Valletta is a short walk away. Large room with safe, tea/coffee, robes, slippers etc. Staff all very friendly and helpful. The views from the rooftop pool were amazing, right across to Valletta. Plenty of options at breakfast.

    Great location- about 10mins walk to Sliema Ferry which takes you to Valletta, air conditioning cools the room down pretty quick, honestly one of the best hair dryer I’ve used in a 3 star hotel.
