HungaryI was expecting the internet to be bad, but it worked well most of the time even in my room on the first floor. The room itself was spacious, neat and clean with a double bed, air-con, TV and en-suite bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful. One of them spoke excellent English and in the morning showed me where the colectivos depart from to El Tajin. Everyone I spoke to earlier in the city denied there was a colectivo service to El Tajin, but it`s not true! The "station" is just hidden in an alley behind the Town Hall.

Hong Kongthe mountain view, fresh air, and the rural surroundings is gorgeous. whether you like to watch sunrise or sunset, it is fabulous. The place is very quiet and clean and fresh and very comfortable. it is 35 minutes walk to zentro in steep streets and alleys, so taxis are necessary if someone doesn't want to walk. Oxxo is 10 minutes walk but steep slopes. It is nice to challenge myself to walk the steep slopes daily. Their staff stay there 24 hours and is very helpful. the chef and helper is very nice and serve superb café and breakfast.

Less polished than many Pueblos Magicos, Papantla is still an interesting (and somewhat frantic) stop and the obvious launching point to see El Tajin. To visit the ruins the colectivo taxis depart a half-block to the west of the Parque Principal on Artes, and visiting the site (including the drive there and back) likely won't take much more than two hours meaning an evening for the town and morning visit to El Tajin will be all most need.Guest review byNoelCanada - 8.0
El Tajin is the only reason for going to Papantla.
El Tajin is the only reason for going to Papantla. In El Tajin, Danza de los Voladores is the highlight, which outshines the archeological site. In this small town Papantla, the highlight is challenging oneself to walk up and down the steep slopes of up to 30°.Guest review byConnieHong Kong
