It’s a very picturesque town.
It’s a very picturesque town. However if you want to enjoy the experience of a small town don’t go when it’s high season. Too many people, vendors everywhere and very hard to enjoy the sites. They’re are few restaurants.Guest review byMariaMexico - 10.0
One of our favorite Pueblo Magicos. Such a gem!
One of our favorite Pueblo Magicos. Such a gem! It's a great place to stay for a couple of days to soak up traditional Mexican culture in a sleepy little town. It's a great base for a trip to see the Monarch butterflies. It's easy to walk around town and it feels very safe. Tlalpujahua in our opinion has one of the most lovely main churches in Mexico - it's very whimsical and unique. The food in Michoacan is out of this world and Tlalpujahua is no exception. If you can cope with the steep dirt/cobbled/concrete tracks up the side of the hills, you will be rewarded with a fantastic view and nice clean rooms. Potted plants in every corner makes this feel like a home and not a hotel. The staff were very attentive and we had a great conversation with Google Translate (I am sorry for not speaking Spanish and whilst some staff spoke English, not all did).
