SingaporeOur room was new, big, beautiful and cosy (pine wood feel). There's partial sea view. Water pressure was very good with water heater that's easy to use. There was a lot of space to put our luggage, clothes etc at the adjoining room and to dry our swimming stuff etc at the balcony.
There's only one snorkelling session in the late morning till lunch with 2 spots. One can cycle, play ball games on the floating platforms, volleyball on the beach or kayak (but within a very limited area). We chose to spend a lot of time exploring the island from both directions over the 2 days (we even walked to the village on the other side of the island). We saw cows on the beach, sea cucumbers at low tide, super huge shells, big beautiful washed-up drift wood, many species of plants, birds etc. Of course, there are rubbish too being washed up - which only serves as a reminder to all of us not to litter mindlessly.
Food at mealtimes is delicious, sufficient with good variety. Not a big spread of food but I think it's good enough as there were not many people on the days we were there, and too much food will probably result in lots of wastage.
There's still a large area under construction and I can imagine it'll be a grand and lively place to be in time to come.
