This campsite was a welcome sanctuary for our epic adventures into Etosha! The sites were fully equipped with everything we needed and there was an electric fence adding to the feeling of safety. From the friendly staff who fed us so well to watching the wildlife come to drink at the watering hole at night, this place goes down as one of our favorite!

I had a fantastic stay! The food was absolutely perfect — felt like dining at a top restaurant every day. The staff were incredibly kind, professional, and always went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Our room was spotless, cozy, and cleaned daily with great attention to detail. Everything from check-in to check-out was smooth and enjoyable. Highly recommend this place — would definitely come back!

It’s a large property with little chalets and cottages around the common area where the pool and dining area are located. The cottage we stayed in was huge, lots of room to spread out. We had hot water and it was very quiet. The staff were excellent, very attentive and friendly.

The pool and bar were great, just what we needed after a long drive. The room (tent) was a 5 min walk from the facilities which meant we had some privacy, and such a good location for access to etosha first thing.

We spent two nights here…it was the right amount of time to view animals in Etosha National Park. The terrain here (unlike Numatoni) is vast and flat. Animals are few and far between but with persistance and great binoculars we spotted a Black Rhinocerous, elephants, zebra, springbok, oryx, giraffe, ostriches, and 1 lion, all during daylight hours. The food is best OUTSIDE the park. There is NO fuel in the ENTIRE park! The “Trading Post” is the nearest fuel to this village (less than 10km). Fuel is CRITICAL for planning in rural Namibia!

We were disappointed by the extremely bad roads in the park.

We were disappointed by the extremely bad roads in the park. There is no information about the rugged dirt roads in the park. We were happy to leave the park without an accident or car broken. No good for self drive! There were no animals at the waterhole in Okaukuejo...

I had an incredible stay at this hotel! The garden is absolutely beautiful, providing a serene and relaxing atmosphere. The experience in the tented lodges was unique and truly memorable, blending comfort with nature perfectly. A special mention goes to the manager, John, who was exceptionally kind and attentive, making sure every guest felt welcome. The breathtaking views from the property added an extra layer of magic to my stay. I highly recommend this hotel for an unforgettable experience!

Toshari Lodge is just off the tarmac road that heads straight to the Anderson Gate entry to Etosha Park and as such is relatively convenient. It's still 25 kms from the gate... The lodges that are closer to the park gates appear, in general, to be more expensive so Toshari was a good compromise. It's a comfortably spacious hotel. Breakfast is good and is served from 6 am which means you can get started early and to the gates of Etosha by 7 am.

This is a really beautiful hotel with massive rooms and the outdoor shower is really lovely. There is a lot of wildlife in the hotel gardens/grounds and that is really the selling ticket for me --- one shouldn't have to go to a park to see wildlife in Africa. The staff are also really lovely people, they make a lot of effort to accommodate the visitors. Many thanks to Abraham, Elena and Brenda for being so kind to our team.
