I was traveling with my two sons, and what was supposed to be a smooth trip turned into quite an adventure — we broke down in Stuttgart and had to wait hours for a replacement car, which meant we didn’t arrive until 3 a.m., even though check-in was set for 6 p.m. What truly amazed me was the kindness and understanding of the hosts. They don’t offer 24/7 check-in, yet they went out of their way to make sure we could access the property late at night without stress. On top of that, they generously allowed us a late check-out, which made all the difference after such a long journey. The property itself is a dream — absolutely spotless, beautifully designed, and equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. You can tell the hosts truly care about providing a wonderful experience for their guests, not just through the amenities but through their warmth and hospitality. If you’re looking for a place that’s not only clean and beautiful but run by people with genuine soul and heart, this is it. I would give 100 stars if I could! We will definitely be back.

    Emmen is a beautiful city with a lot to see and do.

    Emmen is a beautiful city with a lot to see and do. Wildlands is always worth a visit and seeing the hunebeds. The Atlas theatre always has something going on and worthwhile going to. Thijs and Co is a great place to eat and they often have live music. The Brasserie is another great place to eat with great food. Shops are also open on the last Sunday of the month so you can do extra shopping.

    The nature there is amazing!

    The nature there is amazing! So many green spaces 💚 I loved Het Appeltje:) Wildlands is a great park! Also there was an impressive street market on Tuesday. The vibe of the town is very chill and friendly! There are many good restaurants in the city centre :)

    I stayed there overnight, the entrance for the hotel I had trouble finding, but the receptionist came downstairs and helped me find the place. Great friendly staff, and the food was delicious. Definitely recommend to stay.

    We went to Emmen to visit the zoo, but it is a lovely place to walk around. The ancient gravestones "de hunenbedden" are close by (you can walk to the location D43). Good variety of restaurants.

    Anne-Marie and Marnix are excellent hosts. The accommodation is exceptional. Very clean with lots of facilities. The place has a lovely welcoming atmosphere. There is a lot of space in the bedroom/living room, kitchen, and bathroom. There is secure parking. The centre of the beautiful town of Emmen is a short walk away. One of the finest places I have stayed at - in the world.

    We went for a hiking weekend in Emmen and stayed in this lovely cabin. Great place and very welcoming owner. The cabin is well equipped and situated in a quiet area close to the city center.
