Everything about this hotel was wonderful! Check in was done electronically and was very easy (staff were around if you needed help), there was free luggage storage. The room was beautiful and large, the hotel has only just been renovated, so everything is spotlessly clean and everything works perfectly. Our room had a deep bath, which was wonderful after two weeks backpacking 😊. The bed was large and super comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful as well. The hotel is only a short walk from the station and is very central to the old town.... perfect!

Loved that there was parking, and the location was ideal for short walks to city center. The first floor unit was great for our senior (80+) parents, who kept saying how this Canal House was so wonderful.

Lovely family and charming place. We felt like home from the first moment and they’ve been very kind with us. The house looks even better than the pics and it was very clean and organized. This is an excellent home from home! Angelique has made a beautiful bespoke small house out of the coach house. They both gave an excellent welcome. They have really thought about attention to detail which made you feel comfortable. We used the sofa bed downstairs and asked for the beds upstairs to be separate all of them were very comfortable. The walk into town is very quick, you can be in the town square in 10 minuets. I would throughly recommend this as a place to stay.

A lovely BnB in this beautiful town. We very much appreciated the friendly welcome and the excellent breakfast with possibly the best yoghurt and granola I have had in a very long time. If we are back in the neighbourhood we will definitely return. The location along the canal is great, the amenities are just right and the room is comfortable and welcoming. The perfect place for a short stay.

Delightful location right in the center of Gouda. And such a charming house! One thing to note: it's an old Dutch house, so access to the upper floors is by steep spiral stairs. This is not a complaint, just be aware that you'll have some climbing.

Fantastic accommodation! The communication from the host was excellent- self check-in was clear and smooth. The apartment itself is lovely and modern, impeccably clean, and well equipped. The location is quiet and peaceful, and a very short walk to the main square of Gouda. There's even a little gym! Excellent value for money, I'd have stayed longer if I could :-)

Thank you to the hostess, who has been very responsive when I had questions. The apartment is lovely, spotless, and very well-equipped! The location is ideal, in the centre of the town. You can go there with your eyes closed.

    Gouda is much more relaxed than Amsterdam with plenty to do. It's centrally located and with good access to public transportation making it a great place to spend a few days in Gouda, then head out for day trips to Kuekenhof, Amsterdam, De Hague, or anywhere else your heart desires.

    Really pretty city , lots of thing to see and do, restaurants are good and the beer is fantastic ! Town is ideally placed to visit many other places in the Netherlands as it is serviced by an excellent rail system – don’t even think about drinking into the town use the train .

    it’s a wonderful small city. very clean and feels safe to walk around. lots of independent stores with variety of goods - cheese: kasswinkleje shop has great selection, clothes, genuine syrup waffles shop. great bars around the market square. we went to the Grand Central Cafe which has great service, friendly staff, great food choices, nice spot to people watch around the Market square. we didn’t have chance to go to the cathedral but it looks wonderful with best stained glass windows in the city brochure which is very useful. we wanted to do more walking around but ran out of time.

    Lovely little town, not too busy and has a number of gorgeous streets and markets. It has everything you need and feels a less touristy and busy. Also has lots of local shops to buy food, souvenirs, clothes, etc. It's a very pretty and friendly town.

    If you want to have an authentic Dutch experience, Gouda is...

    If you want to have an authentic Dutch experience, Gouda is the town for you. Small enough to get around easily on foot or bike, it has everything you would want to see in a Dutch town; the old city hall, the longest church in the Netherlands with amazing stained glass windows, windmills, canals; it's all there. And don't forget the cheese and stroopwafels. Cheese market is every Thursday during the summer, and the regular market every Saturday. The people are amazing, some of the most hospitable people in Europe. Don't miss this jewel of the Netherlands!

    It was very nice city.

    It was very nice city. We especially liked cheese museum in city centre where you can get a cheese tasting with wine. Also they sell unique gouda cheese you cannot get elsewhere. On Thursdays there are (check for timeline) cheese festivals. Otherwise it is nice and quiet city with nice city hall and churches.

    Finding a property with prime location, premium appliances and finishes, top notch service, and at a bargain price is so rare. We thoroughly enjoyed having a beautiful view of downtown gouda witht he option of walking back to the apartment to drop off souvenirs we purchased. Gouda is a quaint town with friendly people, accessible transportation, and great food.
