    A tidy and relaxed town.

    A tidy and relaxed town. We liked the mining museum, which was unpretentious but well-presented and very-well explained in English/German/Dutch by a local guy with connections to the industry. The other big draw is the Roman baths (extensive unearthed foundations of the whole complex, nicely presented inside a large modern warehouse structure). Rail station is not far from Tulip hotel and is well-served to Aachen and Maastricht.

    Heerlen is small, welcoming and clean -- lots of nice restaurants and a fabulous Greek restaurant "El Greco" on Pancratiusplein 39. We would go to the El Greco again and again! Indoor skiing at Landgraaf not far away.

    The city itself is not my destination.

    The city itself is not my destination. I spend 2 days, in which 1 day goes to Aachen (Germany), and the other day to Gaia Zoo and Kasteel Hoensbroek. The public transport is convenient, if you plan your trip in advance.

    It was a small, but convenient room - perfect for one person / one night stay. Nice view from the room onto the square outside (I was in room 312). If you are looking for a good value for money hotel in the center of Heerlen, this is your hotel. I also liked the fact that they had a piano in the foyer. I played it a couple of times - it's a good one! Props for the piano!

    Despite its modern architecture, the hotel is warm, welcoming and charming. The rooms are really soundproof and our suite was spacious. The bed is immense and very comfortable. The bathroom was large and well equipped. The breakfast offered a large choice of fresh products and the breakfast room is very well designed and cozy.

    I like that the bubble bath is just beside the main pool. I also like that there is a waterfall and area to sit inside the pool. Both can be so relaxing as it can give massages. And that there is a wellness part with a disconted price for the hotel guests.

    The location of the hotel is very good for sightseeing and relaxation, 150 m from the train station. There is a very friendly staff who will help you solve your problem, as well as a restaurant on the ground floor with good cuisine.

    The location is in industrial part, nothing around to go out to eat etc. the hotel is ok to stay one night , just to sleep, has a restaurant, but I did not use it. I did not have breakfast but I find it expensive. Staff was nice
