We were offered an upgraded room. The staff was very helpful, friendly and professional. The location of the hotel is very good - close to the train station and to the center of the town, near an historic gate and an old mill. And the breakfast was very tasty! 😊

Among the advantages of this hotel I'd like to mention the central location, close to the main station, supermarket, city centre and 30 minutes from the sea. The service was great, we got clean towels and coffee/tea every day. The staff were really nice and helpful.

Fantastic location in the heart of beautiful Leiden. We loved being able to walk to sights, eating out and easy walk to train. Staff very help and diligent, breakfast of croissants, bread, meats and cheese plus an egg, fresh orange juice and coffee... yum. Room clean and comfortable.

Rooms are roomy with a sitting area (it was a more expensive one than the standard). Rooms are quiet. Beds are excellent. Toilet is separate from the bathroom. Location is perfect about a 100 m from the Central Station - if you have to be in Leiden. Leiden by the way is a very nice town to visit. Breakfast is as good as it gets. The outstanding feature of this hotel are the staff: universally in a good mood, smiling, accomodating, helpful and, honestly… charming.

It's very close from the train station and also close from the downtown markets. There are a few good supermarkets nearby. Aparment is spacious and very sunny. Sun comes right in through big windows. Beds were comfy. I liked it overall. Staffs were very kind and willing to help always. I appreciated it so much. The cafe downstairs is very yummy and you can see the windmill from your window. Also, the cafes and shops twinkle in the dawn and evening. It's so pretty. There are many people who passes by since it's near station, but the house is very quiet. I only had fun looking at people outside.

    A fantastic place with so much history- for anyone...

    A fantastic place with so much history- for anyone interested in historic textiles, Leiden was the hub of blanket weaving since medieval times. The Leidse Deken, weavershuis and many other historic places are well within walking distance in Leiden. The De Lakenhal museum is a fantastic historical resource of the textile history in the area. You can rent a small canal boat $90 euro for 2 hrs and such a fantastic way to see the city on an electric powered canal boat you can drive yourself. Well worth visiting.

    Leiden is a fantastic place to visit, like Amsterdam but without the crowds! The parking is great, so is the station, and there is so much to see, with some really historic buildings, great canal views, and excellent shopping. And don't miss the market on Wednesdays and Saturdays!

    The canals, the friendly people, the variety of things/buildings places to see, all was awesome! Hiring a bike was easy and affordable. The restaurants were easy to book and the food was delicious. The Dinosaur museum is a must for all ages! I plan to go again on my next visit!

    A beautiful place to visit, the museums are very good, the University botanical garden fascinating. Lots of places to eat and just have a cup of coffee watching the river boats. A safe and clean visit. The railway station is central along with the bus station, also really well maintained and so easy to navigate

    I will never stay in Amsterdam again.

    I will never stay in Amsterdam again. Leiden much nicer - easy to get to central Amsterdam and Schipol from the railway station for day trips but much prefer the lovely city of Leiden - great restaurants, lovely walks, safer biking

    If you like beautiful architecture and cafe culture Leiden is ideal. Small enough to do it on a weekend break. Very friendly and very walkable if you are able. Largely car free inner town but watch out for bikes.
