We loved the location and the quietness of the streets, the hotel is right next to the canal, but still has a parking space, the bar next to our room was not loud at all at the time of our stay, but provided a nice place to relax at the end of our day. A short (20min) walk from the hotel you can see the sea side which is also a nice thing to see if you are visiting.

Everything was perfect;breakfastfor all tastes, good coffes,good menu în restaurant for lunch( fish and chips- my favourite), big and clean rooms,confortabile beds.Personnel very helpfull and friendly(we have chek-out at 12 and they let us stay, for my husband health problem,until 17 without extra pay); thank you very much, again! The position of the hotel is perfect, în front of port, of the see! We will comeback în noiembrie for BZN Fandag!

A great surprise in our trip round the Netherlands, Wonderful location the town is extraordinary for a short stop off season; we loved everything about the place. I do not know why people are complaining about the tunes played by the near church it is the wonderful part of the visit. The rooms are about the average in Holland- that is why I also do not get the low marks given particularly by the Dutch. Comfort, quality, design, free snacks and drinks, very comfortable beds, high quality of cosmetics, bed-linen, pillows, towels, etc. Just only positive experience. Also the supper and breakfast bought at the owner's restaurant nearby- just great experience, the food so tasty and affordable. The room upstairs for three people brought just sheer happiness among our daughters screaming with joy seeing the luxury and space.

Great location ,right on the canal and close to the bus station for buses into Amsterdam, Volendam, Hoorn, good local bar over the road via the underpass, Breakfast was really nice and great coffee, lovely walk into edam and down to the restaurant at the lakeside ( 2km walk)

    The host was exceptionally friendly and helpful Breakfast was great The situation- ie Marken, is unique- cycling through waterland on a summer evening was almost surreal.A shame I had little time to explore, but I'll definitely return and would be delighted to stay at De Pepersteeg again

    The rooms were comfortable and clean. The owner was helpful and made us good breakfast. Marken was already such a sight to see but staying at this bed and breakfast made it even better.
