Meppel is a really nice town in Drenthe.
Meppel is a really nice town in Drenthe. Come here for a taste of the real Netherlands - well away from the tourists. Meppel is a quiet town located in bucolic surrounding.
Meppel is a quiet town located in bucolic surrounding. Despite some bulk agribusiness on the outskirts, Meppel retains a pleasant pedestrianised centre. It is located on the long-distance cycle route LF9 and the spectacular village of Giethoorn is 35 mins cycling away. Bathroom was nice, very safe neighborhood, clean and nicely furbished. It is a room in the garage-building with a door to the garden. This garden is the private garden of the owners, so you are literally in their backyard. It was extremely cold in the beginning because of the low outside temperatures and it took the heating several hours to bring the room up to an acceptable temperature.
