- The room's view overlooking the quaint canal was simply stunning, adding a touch of serenity to each day of my stay. - Breakfast boasted a delightful array of options, catering thoughtfully to vegetarians like myself. - I found myself drifting into a restful sleep every night, thanks to the cozy accommodations. Mr. Joris, the manager, was incredibly kind and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort throughout our stay. Overall, a delightful experience that I would highly recommend.

Clean rooms (we booked 2 rooms) with comfortable beds, great location and most of all, their lift. We were travelling with our foldable bikes (Brompton) and the lift is an advantage to us. Food downstairs is superb and surrounding views is fantastic. A Chinese restaurant is also nearby (De Pauw) and serves good Chinese food. Staffs are helpful and with great smiles!

The place was spacious and had a great view. The owner was very kind and even warmed up the room before we arrived, which was so thoughtful. There was absolutely nothing to complain about. I would definitely visit again!

Nice view from the tower. Clean, comfortable beds, warm and cozy in the rooms (cold outside despite late April). Delicious breakafast, that we chose to eat in the tower. Tasty dinner at Brasserie Broers. Friendly and accommodating hosts. Free parking 50 meters away. A short walk to a grocery store.

Lovely family and charming place. We felt like home from the first moment and they’ve been very kind with us. The house looks even better than the pics and it was very clean and organized. They reactive with the messages and if you ever need something they will bring it to you! I 100% recommend this place, thank you!

    Oudewater is a typical small Dutch town, where most people...

    Oudewater is a typical small Dutch town, where most people seem to know each other. It has some good small shops, a town museum, plenty of places to eat and drink, canals (of course), medieval buildings, and more. It's main visitor attraction is an original medieval weighing office dating to the 1600's where people who were accused of being a witch could get themselves officially weighed on a board suspended by chains from the ceiling and obtain a certificate certifying that their weight makes it imposible for them to be a witch. Witches had to be below a certain weight to be able to fly. Some accused made the long journey, even from neighbouring Countries, to the Oudewater weighing office as there weren't many around. Here visitors get weighed one by one on the original weighing scale and receive their personalised official certificate in their chosen language to (hopefully) certify that they are too heavy to be a witch. Fun for kids and adults alike. Upstairs is a short video and small museum. Definitely recommend this.

    Oudewater is a delightful town and was a surprise to us.

    Oudewater is a delightful town and was a surprise to us. It is full of interest and history especially for a small place. Of note are the Hakenwaag, where you can find out if you a a witch! the Rope museum is also worth visiting as you can learn about the historical source of wealth in the town. It has some splendid buildings in a compact area. The town has a good range of cafes and restaurants all seemingly popular. It also has a pleasant variety of shops. The market on Wednesday is a highlight.

    Great location in pretty, quiet village. Easy walk to centre. Nice bars and cafes to sit & watch world go by. Hotel Restaurant is very good, especially the muscles. Clean, comfortable room. Tiny but interesting witchcraft museum. Free hotel car park. Lovely staff.

    Good place, plenty of free parking space around. very center of Oudewater, 50 m to Haksenwwaag. The apartment is clean, close to the greatest attractions of the Netherlands: The Hague, Amaterdam, Delphi, Utrecht and Gouda.
