Venlo is one of my favourite cities to escape to, there are always activities happening and one can have lovely meals from fine dining to take ways. A large no. of Bars all around as well as shopping opportunities at 2 Bruder or Beej Benders ( Fresh food Market and Restaurant). They also have their regular Markets. Quality furniture and furnishings. Beautiful view over the shopping precinct, trees and parkland. The room was rather expensive. Hotel miss managed my reservation and only had one night instead of two. The service in the restaurant was attrocias. Took forever to be waited on, I had to ask for the wine card 3 times before I finally received it. Had a TV & Nespresso coffee maker. the grounds of the hotel a lovely with a small lake with seating all round although in December is was a bit chilly & snowy to sit out. The restaurant served a good selection with many locally produced goods. A good breakfast was served buffet style wth a wide choice of hot & cold foods. the staff were all so helpful & kind especially as our Dutch was severely lacking.
