So Terneuzen isn’t exactly tourism central, and while I’d probably give the hotel a little less praise if located elsewhere, it’s the absolute best in Terneuzen. - the rooms are spacious, opt for superior rooms for that extra comfort - the staff is very nice - the location is good, for Terneuzen, which doesn’t really have hotels downtown. It’s closest to downtown out of all the available options on booking (hotel ones, there are a few apartments closer). And the walk to downtown is very pleasant, along the seafront - be warned, a charming, but surprising thing on that route is locals greet each other (and you) when they pass, so prepare to say “hallo” a lot on a sunny day :) - the hotel has a nice restaurant if you don’t want to walk the 15 minutes downtown. It has a variety of choice and is quite cheap for a hotel restaurant. - there is also a supermarket like 100m from the hotel, at present it looks like a building site, as they are rebuilding it (August 2023) but don’t make my mistake from the first day, it’s there, in a temporary building in the back. - buses to Middelburg, Ghent, Goes etc stop near the hotel

Larger room than we expected, comfy bed and bedding. Lighting was terrible though, only a couple of side lights, no central light. The receptionist was excellent, she worked so hard as the check-ins were non stop and she was on her own. Breakfast was included and it was plentiful. There was a supermarket within walking distance.

While we sometimes give a 9 or 10 to support owners who put time and energy and love in their places despite minor shortcomings, here a 10 should be 12 and is wholly justfied in every way. Everything was just perfect. A unique blend of personal taste and design, luxury, humor and functionality based on solid craftsmenship and love for all the details - the buildings, the rooms, the pool, the garden.... and the fantastic service reflecting exceptional hospitality. See for yourself what a dream of a place this happy, dedicated and hart working couple has created for whoever is lucky enough to experience it as their guests. Yes, it was quiet and cosy, spacious and stately. We slept like angels. The wonderful breakfast was an experience by itself.

House is very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Would definitely stay again. On top of this, we experienced great communication and flexibility. We were really lucky to find this place. Family knows a lot about Terneuzen and Paul was a great guide.
