Great location. The parking is about 200m away, but it worked well in a town that has very little parking. But the parking deck was locked up by the time we finished dinner and went to fetch our baggage. The seven hotel rooms are brand new — opened in June 2023. They did a fantastic job on the upfit. Beds comfortable. Bathroom was great. Large tub out in the room. All was very comfortable! Staff was very friendly — as is everyone in Zwolle!

    Zwolle is a safe, lovely city, yet - there are good shopping possibilities. Many green areas, general cleanliness, not too much graffiti or stickers (compared to larger cities like Rotterdam). The cherry on top of the cake is a lovely cat café (where you can order a delicious cake and pet a cute cat).

    Zwolle is my favourite town in the Netherlands, full of life...

    Zwolle is my favourite town in the Netherlands, full of life, bars and nice buildings. Everything is in a walking distance. You can find lots of restaurants, pubs or just buy something in a supermarket and chill along the river. It's really worth a visit!

    Stunning town with plenty of unspoilt architecture and an amazing selection of shops, bars and restaurants. We were there on Friday with a huge street market. The cheese shops were a highlight for us.

    Zwolle is a lovely vibrant friendly town, full of great bars, restaurants and shops and undoubtedly one of the best ice cream parlours I have ever visited. There are so many great spots, so much to do and it's so chilled.

    Beautiful city.

    Beautiful city. Excellent museum of modern art, de Fundatie. Beautiful bookstore inside an old church. The best cake and chocolates in the Netherlands at Bakkerij Lindeboom. Try my three favourites: Dark chocolate filled with 5-spice, dark chocolate with cardamom filling, and the milk chocolate filled with caramel and sea salt. Try the others too. Many are prize winning chocolates.

    Everything would have been great, but unfortunately the window in the room had sagged, letting in outside noise. Near the hinge, where air was coming in, black street dust had collected on the frame. I changed rooms, and that went smoothly. The new room had the same issue, but not as severely. It seems like the seals on the street-facing side are all worn out. However, the hotel staff was very friendly. And the next morning, I saw a technician already working on the previous room—whether it got fixed, I don’t know.

    Flight from UK was delayed, when on train to Zwolle, I called the hotel to see if the restaurant would still be open on our arrival (21:30 ish). Was informed it closes at 21:00. I was however offered a salad bowl prepared fresh by the Chef prior to our arrival. It was served in the bar with excellent service. Food was also excellent. Next day breakfast was also far better than expected. All in all the staff and facilities were exceptional. Bar was great.
