We ate out at the sushi Asian restaurant, I had a refried rice. It was real good. We walked the trails which is hilly but enjoyable looking out at the ocean. We saw a big boat going by. The hotel was located conventiently near both the train and the ferry terminal. When attempting to check in before 15:00 the desk clerk was extremely rude, interrupting and admonishing me for arriving early before I could even introduce myself. We ended up having to wait until 50 minutes after official check-in time to have access to our room. We booked the Presidential Suite and were very disappointed with it. It was old and dated, with dirty carpet, dusty surfaces and missing both the bathrobes and slippers that were listed as provided amenities. Also, it is very annoying to have a mini-bar but no prices. There was no telephone in the room so the only way to contact the staff was by going to the front desk and waiting in line. The property is very dated and in serious need of a renovation. We enjoyed our swim (there is no shallow end however so bring your floaties for kids). The host was so kind and responsive. The place was very clean, comfortable, and had personalized touches. My kids were excited to play the video games. It was about a 20 minute drive to the city sentrum and parking was very easy. My kids also loved being so close to the playground. They sorted me out with a taxi while I was desperately trying to get one (during a blizzard) after I ordered it for the wrong day. The staff didn't even ask me, they simply understood the situation and suddenly told me "a taxi is on its way, tro minutes".
