    The central location of Leknes on the Lofoten Islands was great for exploring the south and north. Shopping and dining were within walking distance of the apartment. I had a tasty fish and chips at the Diggs restaurant. The Bunpass grocery store had a lot to offer, and they had the best cinnamon rolls!

    Leknes is not the real tourist draw in the lofoten, but is central with a lot of busses going through if you don't bring a car. The bakery near the bus station and Sakura can be recommended. We didn't try other places.

    Leknes is extremely convenient if it's the first time you're...

    Leknes is extremely convenient if it's the first time you're staying in Lofoten. There are plenty towns to visit within a 1.5 hour range of driving and if we had more time we would have ventured further. We only stayed for 4 nights but it was enough to visit a number of well known towns/villages like Henningsvær, Nusfjord, Å, Reine, and Svolvær. It is a very small town but it has everything you need like a large grocery store, a fairly large mall, some great take away places like Pizza Bakeren, conveniently located charging stations for your electric vehicle, plus some hiking trails very close by which I think is the norm throughout Lofoten in general. The airport was only 7 mins from where we stayed and it's also very easy to get to. The Lofoten Bakeri is a very popular cafe and bakery and has excellent coffee. I highly recommend Leknes as an entry point into Lofoten. Next time I will stay in Svolvær purely because it's a larger city with more connection points to activities etc, and because of it's proximity to popular places further north. You need minimum 2-3 weeks in Lofoten itself if you really want to experience it fully, but I would stay for months if time and finances allowed!

    Leknes was easy to get around for groceries or drinks. We had a great meal at Digg. Anita's in Reine is worth the trip for the fish sandwich! Spectacular scenery - everywhere! Could have stayed another week.

    Leknes is an incredible place, easily accesible through the E10 road and strategically located in the Lofoten islands so that you can access a miriad of wonderful sites within <1h ride. Plenty of services like supermarkets, petrol stations. A perfect basecamp for your trip to Lofoten.

    The sauna and view from it were stunning. We loved dipping in the lake and then running up the steps to the sauna. The staff were lovely and extremely helpful re any questions or local knowledge. Beautiful surroundings and v convenient being just off the E10 and 10 mins from Leknes airport. It had the feel of being in the middle of nowhere but with the convenience of transport links for day trips annd andventures. Our cabin was gorgeous and very comfortable with all the amenities we needed.

    Spacious, modern apartment with a sunny back terrace. Spotlessly clean. Friendly hosts. Well equipped, the kitchen has spices and oil and everything needed to actually be used. The central location in Leknes was perfect for us, as we were on public transport and several bus lines operate here. Great café around the corner. Considering it's in the stunning Lofoten, also really good value for money. So all in all, super comfortable place to stay, absolute recommendation!

    The cleanliness of the place had exceeded our expectations. Shared Bathroom and shared kitchen both are neat and clean. The location is very near to Leknes airport for our early morning flight out. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a short stay near the airport for their flying in or out.

    The location close to buses, shops, really friendly staff, great selection of food at breakfast. The hotel has a restaurant on site where you can dine in the evening- probably only choice of 4-5 dishes but very tasty. There is a non stop supply of coffee/tea, hot chocolate in the lobby.
