We picked Ranfurly to stay as a central point to reach other areas we wanted to tour, and got that entirely right. Great service from the I-site, and the council office staff too, when we had some business to do. I'm amused that your questions say '' ýoung couples like you''. We're both 81!

We were there for a lawn bowls tournament. If you have every wanted to play lawn bowls, they do a social roll up in the summer every Friday evening. Go along, you will find a good cash open bar and nice people with a really fun way to spend your time for anyone over the age of 10

WE had never been to Ranfurly, and were delighted to find such a pleasant town - quiet, friendly with good services. The local Four Square shop was big enough to satisfy our needs. Next time we'll try to stay longer!

Ranfurly is becoming a sad wee town with No Shops anymore think the community needs to do something about empty shops perhaps the owners need to look at what they are doing to the town and their community its really sad to see. We had nothing to do for about 2 hours and found nothing really to do so we had to go for a drive to fill in time. I know the cycle trail goes through the town but needs to be more to do for their stop in the town and only the pub for evening meals. 2 Cafe's were both fabulous and supported them

Well when we booked the Ranfurly Motel we were a little unsure what to actually expect, but all was great on our arrival, yes it was a bit dated but they have obviously done some great renovations!! It was a very cold night, we arrived a little later than we in tended, but the heat pump was on, curtains pulled, so we walked in to a very cosy unit, with a king size bed, Loved it for the one night, was perfect for us.

Great old Deco style hotel, in the middle of town. The manager was great and let us securely store our motorbikes. Breakfast is included and the hotel is very tidy. The rooms are quite plain but that is how these hotels were.

Sweet place to stay in Ranfurly. Lovely hosts and room accomodation got all we need and we’ve been served with milk, bread, yogurt for breakfast, which we found more than enough for two people. Clean bed sheets.

Great location. Spectacular landscape through the Danseys Pass. Nice to stay in a historic New Zealand hotel which captures pioneering spirit.
