Rangiora has boutique shops, pharmacy, banks, lots of grocery options. Petrol stations for gas, diesel, lpg. Town of 20,000 means all amenities. Pool for family, River for dogs or family. It was a gem that I stayed in en route from Kaikoura to Arthur's pass in a very cosy ensuite room. It was decorated really nicely and they left a lovely gluten free breakfast for me in the small self-contained kitchen area for the morning. I had this on the little chairs/tables outside while having a cuddle with their friendly dog. Also treated myself to the use of a dressing gown.
