Super modern and really beautiful motel/apartments with all the appliances you could need! The room was really nice and spacious, the bathroom was clean and nicely done. We loved our stay here, the owner was really lovely and helped us with everything we needed. There was definetly enough parking space and the location was a great gateway for Mt Cook. 11/10 experience.

I expected the usual self catering type of place but got a fully furnished house. Even the details were there, a very comfortable bed, good lighting, a washing machine, a large frig, and a big back yard and even a doggie door.

The host was very friendly when talking with us. Rosedale Cottage was very beautiful and comfortable. The kictchen with convient amenities was great. We had a good time while staying there. And we could go to Mt. Cook easily in the next morning.

Everything was amazing! Brand new, modern and impeccable clean facilities! They even have a well equiped guess lounge on the second floor for everyone to chill and enjoy the view! Mary was super kind and welcoming. She even kindly reminded us through booking.com that the restaurants in town would be really busy on the day we scheduled to arrive due to the Easter holiday which helped us plan ahead. It's super quite and dark at night so would be a perfect for stargazing place if it wasn't cloudy that night. Already looking forward to going back some time and having a proper stargazing experience there. Also FYI, they have some really cool "old-fashioned" airplanes in the same building! Mary was so kind and gave us a tour when we asked about it. This is honestly one of the best motels we ever stayed!

    My husband and I have been coming to Twizel for several...

    My husband and I have been coming to Twizel for several years now. My husband comes for the fishing and I for the photography. We have stayed in all seasons. This time it was July middle of winter. Didn't catch any fish but I got some great photos. Had a lovely meal out at Poppies. Would recommend them. We were disappointed with our accommodation, but it didn't ruin our stay in Twizel.

    Cute, small town with the most amazing scenery.

    Cute, small town with the most amazing scenery. The town itself is very small, but offers so much with scenic walks, activities & the locals are super friendly. We had dinner at the Razza Bar - a small, old school bar with the best atmosphere & great food. The owner was really friendly and told us all about the lord of the rings filming and where we could find the area where the fight scene was filmed which was very cool. Beautiful place & we can’t wait to come back

    The view is fantastic. We need to stay longer next time. Twizel is a good centre point for 2 lakes Lake Pukaki and Lake Takapo. Compare with stay in Lake Takapo, Stay in Twizel is more valuable. If you are hiring car yourself to teavel.

    The lake is brilliant and perfect for our power boat racing. The restaurants were fantastic and the food was great. The 'hardware store' is more than that! You should definitely check it out. They have everything!

    Good location from which to visit Mnt Cook/Aoraki and the Tekapo and Pukaki lakes. Ideal stopover for us as we headed from Christchurch to Queenstown. High Country Lodge was clean and comfortable with a spacious room and good facilities.

    It was just right for us because we do not ride bikes or do sports which could keep others another day. The town is lovely. The restaurants are great. Walked to the river and we were the only people there. People nice too. There is an olympic clean new looking pool there and if a warm day I suggest using it. It was so reasonable in price too and few people in it.

    The holiday home was just perfect, will all the essential amenities- including coffee machine, that actually works and not for just show unlike other places. Washer dryer, good quality linen, fire place +plenty of supplies, fridge with milk in it and butter, jacuzzi, outdoor area with plenty of space for my dog to run around and that too with view. Rooms were clean, comfy bed, bathrooms were spotless. Definitely recommend this property if you are travelling with dog and wanna stay over night in Twizel

    Fantastically well appointed property, much more than we needed, but so spacious and welcoming, we loved it. Comfortable bed and gorgeous bathrooms, beautiful views throughout with delightful patio access. Quite clever security door access, which we needed to ask for help with, but Nigel was on the phone and actually came out to help straight away. Thanks for your help! Great location for a holiday in Twizel or enroute south.

    The holiday cottage in Twizel was fantastic - the photographs don't do the place justice! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. There were many personal touches which were greatly appreciated! The host was so attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the BBQ was a bonus. The stars outside the cottage were amazing; you could see the Milky Way clearly. We would love to stay here again!

    Beautiful spacious home with lots of comfort. When we couldn’t find the firewood (basket was empty and no information about the location of the woodshed in the infomap) someone from booktwizel came over right away to help us out!
