Whangaparaoa itself is not a destination but the beaches and reserves are great if you enjoy the outdoors. Can recommend the Thai Windows restaurant- good food, good service and a great view. Shakespear Reserve is worth a visit if you enjoy walking. The views are lovely. Highlight for us was a trip to Tiritiri Matangi - ferry picks up at 9.25am at Gulf Harbour. Just a delightful place to stay, the photos look great but...
Just a delightful place to stay, the photos look great but the place is even better. Everything you need is there, and great restaurants close by. Beach a few steps away, wonderful fish and chips close by to take down to beach for a lovely evening. Have stayed twice so far and hopefully more times, would recommend to any couple wanting a very romantic place to stay, very accommodating hosts and very pleasant as well.Guest review byAnnetteAustralia
