I booked a room at the Andres Hotel, mainly because of a train ride. I was thinking of going for one day from PANAMA CITY to Colon, by train with the Panama Canal Train. Unfortunately, I found out that this train is inactive since the Corona. If the train ride is not yet available, Or if you are not going to visit around Colon, and are not interested in the duty free zone, then you can skip Colon. Colon is not a nice city and I cannot recommend it to others. I felt very threatened there. It is dirty and noise, huge amounts of litter everywhere. Huge numbers of homeless and mentally ill people living on the street. I could not find anything to visit. There are very few restaurants that cater for tourists. Colon is a great city, the one I was born in.
Colon is a great city, the one I was born in. Although a little rundown in some areas, mainly the center, the outskirt of the city has a better appearance. Overall, the people are very warm and appreciate visitors coming into their city .Guest review byHILMAUnited States

Room was ok, bathroom had not been cleaned properly. Loud music all around till late. There is a closed area in front for swimming in the sea. I took a lot of plastic out of the water and threw it onto the pier. Nobody seemed to care about it. House wine was disgusting, I sent it back. There are very helpful and kind, I forgot to printed out my ship pass and the lovely Ms Shenell Bates at the reception printed out for me no questions asked, all with the most beautiful and welcoming smile.
