Monkey lodge is a real gem - the family who run it are wonderful, and the food was wonderful. The setting is incredible. They organised transfers for us, and we paid extra for a boat tour where we got to hand feed monkeys - a once in a lifetime experience.

Spectacular place. Very reasonable rates. Spacious well appointed rooms. Very modern bathrooms. Great pool. Restaurant is even reasonable. They even have several tours of the grounds to see animals. This hotel has the best staff. There are very helpful and kind, I forgot to printed out my ship pass and the lovely Ms Shenell Bates at the reception printed out for me no questions asked, all with the most beautiful and welcoming smile. Thank you Shenell. She was also very knowledgeable of her surroundings which saved me a taxi fare, as I was able to walk and see a bit of Colon.

This place has spacious rooms with nice terrace and amazing view on the lake. Place is very well maintained and clean. There is a relaxed atmosphere without any kind of hard rules, pool is so warm!! The food is very nice. Manager is a fantastic guy, funny and always helpful.
