I waited for my boyfriend to do the Choquequirao, and stayed 5 nights/days. A well needed retreat of calm and tranquility. The hotel is well located, a bit apart from the village, comfortable rooms and a nice terrasse to chill. Elisabeth is really nice, helpful with information, tips and logistic, she really made me feel at home. She grows vegetables next door that she can cook for dinner at a good price. Casa de Salcantay is the perfect place to prepare for a trek to Choquequirao! The host, Yovana, is a very kind woman who helped me prepare for the trek and provided me with very useful information. The entire atmosphere was welcoming, the room was big and comfortable, and the views were amazing. Can fully recommend!

There’s not much to not like! It’s a few steps outside of town which means is quiet and peaceful. Pablo, our host, was delightful and very welcoming and accommodating. His spaghetti bolognaise was delicious, and his hospitality was amazing - we felt so welcomed and at home. The room was amazing - the bed was comfortable, the view was quite extraordinary and the front seating area was very relaxing. The water was hot and consistent and the wifi was very fast and stable.
