What an experience! I absolutely loved my stay and massive thanks to Benjamin and my best dog friend Gaia. The location of the lodge is just stunning, as is the lodge itself. Absolute paradise! The lodge is super clean and has everything you need, including the most friendly dog. Benjamin is just the best host and has lots of information. Definitely add on the breakfast, the pancakes and fresh fruit from the trees is perfect! You may get lucky and be greeted by the little monkeys. I'm very sad to be back in Lima!

I’ve stayed one week in the wonderful Guacamayo Azul integrating my journeys in the jungle, and seriously, I have no words how amazing this place is! The house is luxurious, huge comfortable main bedroom, fully equipped kitchen where I felt I could cook as if I was back home. The pool is another sort of privilege; calm and safe location, comparing to the rest of Iquitos. Julio, the housekeeper, would help me with absolutely everything I needed - driving me to do buy groceries, help around the house, even accompanying me to explore the local area’s gems so I don’t feel uncomfortable as a solo female traveler. A special thanks to him! The house is massive and would fit a company up to 8 people, but also it’s an incredible stay for a solo person, who seeks quietness and solitude, like in my case. I truly appreciate my time in Guacamayo Azul, and it only leaves me to wonder why it’s not yet fully booked. I wish you that!

As a woman traveling alone, I felt very safe and well taken care of. I was able to call the host when the taxi driver couldn’t find the house. The place itself is amazing, feels like a little jungle inside of the city which is in the big jungle. All the pets that the owner has are so friendly and interesting. And lady, the owner is a good host, very friendly, helpful and flexible. I needed some favour because for some reason I couldn't get any cash from the atm and she helped me with it, even though she didn't have to do it. The house is located cca. 2 km away from the airport, so it's the perfect stop especially for the first night if you lend with the plane in late hours. It is also a peaceful little street, away from the main road. I fully recommend it to everyone.
