    Safe.

    Safe. Walking or strolling at 12 midnight and it’s really safe. If that was Manila, daaaaang, I’d have lost items or my life. One thing I found amazing, when people reserved tables at fast-food chains or restos, they place their phones. Like they’re not afraid to lose them and someone grabbing those.

    I haven't been since 2012.

    I haven't been since 2012. Downtown Davao is really crowded now. I love Tagum city. I was there for a family reunion. I love travelling with my relatives seeing the beauty of nature. I love eating in turo-turo carenderia.😊 For travellers, you will enjoy your holiday, away from the city. No photos to share. I lost my phone at Changi airport Singapore.

    I noticed that there is no small convenient stores or just a quick facilities to buy little things in the corner or along the streets. I needed to make a list of all my daily needs before I go back to the place or I have to do a quick run to the convenient store or groceries to buy bags of goodies for my entire stay, or order a quick meal via grab or other facilities. Taxi or grab is the only way to travel around places though they are not very costly to my experienced but to locals, I don't know how do they get to the mall or groceries in a distance.

    Davao is recognised as a vibrant go ahead city and thought to be the safest city in the Philippines mainly due to the Duturte style of leadership over many years. Like any city in any country tourists / visitors and locals alike should always be aware of their surroundings Traffic can be an issue at times as many improvements are underway ... The people I have met or interacted with have all been friendly ... Some great shopping malls and pleasant places to visit... too many to mention

    It's 34 years since my last visit to Davao, and I was thoroughly disappointed! Except for the addition of some nice-looking high-rise buildings and some additional corporate buildings, no real change for the better! The first thing you see is the airport terminal, and it's a poor joke. It's a tiny, filthy, cramped, over-crowded building, with inadequate seating throughout, and it's supposedly a terminal. It should be demolished immediately. Try looking at Clark, Pampanga, as an example of what a terminal can resemble: a clean and spacious serviceable building. It's a dirty, poorly organised city. Whoever has been mayor or councillor has done it a disservice, or ripped off money! It's not much above a slum. Malls and dirty buildings like Gaisano Mall should be demolished. The roads need widening, and traffic diverted to create a free flow of traffic around and through the Business District.

    We went to Dusit D2 hotel for dinner on the first night of our stay. The buffet was pretty good with choices of western and local dishes. The Hotel Staff were very friendly and respectful. Hotel Ambience was lovely. We went to visit Agpao public market and bought some local products. We also went to Magsaysay Market and bought Pomelo fruits and local sweets. We also went and stayed at Dusit Thani Lubi Plantation Resort in Davao De Oro which is an excellent place to spend holidays given the lovely facilities on offer. Staff were very friendly, courteous and provided excellent service at all times. This place is 1 of a kind and is a lovely place to stay. It is easy to get around Davao City as taxis, grab and public transport is just around to corner if needed.

The unit is super tidy and the host was extremely accommodating.❤️ I would love to refer this place to my friends and relatives and will surely stay again if given the chance to be back in Davao.

    The breakfast has a wide variety from American to Filipino. The location is within the heart of the metro beside Abreeza, near to Redemptorist Church, and near the Bajada highway where you can easily navigate Davao City.
