Basic but perfectly comfortable. Showers take a little time to warm up so don't be concerned if it's cold when you turn it on - just wait a couple of minutes and it's fine!

I have read the reviews of this hotel and they do not seem fair. This hotel was an extremely normal typical experience in a small town in Poland. My husband is Polish and he found the hotel fine, completely normal for the area. If you do not speak Polish, please realize that not everyone will speak English, even at the hotels. Also, it is normal in a town like this where the reception will not always be there. So if you speak no Polish then you should arrange ahead of time through the messages to ensure the reception will be there when you arrive, and be prepared to use Google translate when you arrive. For us, we just called them on our phone to say we arrived but again my husband is fluent in Polish so that made everything easy. Once you arrive, they are happy to help you with anything. That being said, we booked the family room for us and our friend. It had 2 bedrooms and a kitchen and living room and dining table. It was an enormous apartment with plenty of space to have family over. It was missing some dishes, I am sure if we had asked for more then the owner would have provided but we got by. We were in town for Christmas and we provided a second hangout space for my husband's very large family. The owner was very helpful and even gave us homemade bread for Christmas.

Superfriendly and helpful staff, free tee/coffee/candies everywhere, food in the kitchen at guests' disposal. And free homemade yeastless bread! I bake bread myself at home, so I was amazed when we tasted that bread - wonderful! Very skillfully made and delicious. Rooms are spotless and with modern interior. We regret that we booked the place for do short a time, we should have stayed there longer!

It's a beautiful property and a very comfortable accommodation! The garden is truly beautiful and magical. Marek and Andrzej are very friendly and super helpful with everything. Luna, the owners' dog, is a true star and super playful. We loved playing with such happy dog. It's been pleasure and I hope we can come back some day.

    This is a very provincial border town.

    This is a very provincial border town. It’s the end of the rail line. The old town areas are being restored and look great, I love the cobbled roads. Some ancient buildings here too but need more exploration. Hardly any restaurants for lunch is disappointing. The road system is very odd fur to the rail tracks and parking is also not so easy.

    This is one of those places I could happily imagine myself...

    This is one of those places I could happily imagine myself moving to. Hotel and tourism staff were warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. Two was small. but had so much history. New discoveries around every corner and were pointed to many by wonderful tourist info and museum staff. Only hiccup was finding vegetarian sit-in sandwiches or meals, with coffee. Had to make do with sit-in cake and pastry shops for lunches. There was no shortage of outlets for sweet treats. Big issue is that my middle just kept spreading! Spend days walking round the town and take some trips into the countryside. Be wary of just turning up at attractions. Many need booking and many of the castles in SIlesia are actually hotels where you need a minimum number to get a tour of the tourist areas.

    We went to Lubań for a doctor's appointment.

    We went to Lubań for a doctor's appointment. Since we were coming from Germany, we didn't want to be rushed. We were surprised that there was no Christmas Market. The people were very friendly and helpful! There just isn't a lot to see or do there. We felt that one more day would be a strain, but that was because of the freezing room at night in the hotel. There are a few things outside of Lubań that are not far away that could be seen. It was drizzling the day we left, so we didn't explore any further afield. I simply saw them in the internet.
