We were attending a family wedding at the hotel and the hotel was closed to other guests , so the hotel had the feel of a private house for the duration of our stay. The house, built in about 1900 in the style of a French manoir and renovated ten or so years ago is simply furnished with well chosen antique furniture and a pleasing lack of bric a brac enhances the spacious rooms that overlook the surrounding parkland. Overall a wonderfully peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Ever friendly and efficient staff produced sumptuous and abundant breakfasts and wedding feast.

Friendly service in the dining room. The accommodation is in a wonderful, quiet location. The building is on a beautiful river bank. Rowing is also possible. Unfortunately we only stayed 1 night.
