An extremely charming ‘local Portuguese’ town with many excellent restaurants on the Tagus river estuary across the vasco de gama bridge from Lisbon. an easy jaunt by car or by the ferry at Montijo. This is a lovely relaxing village, not a place for nightlife and excitement; for that you have to go to lisbon. We were surprised how beautiful it was and how big and comfortable the room was. We´ve even got a welcome cookies upon arrival. Breakfast was amazing and there was plenty of food of any choice.
