Felt so welcomed by the lady in reception! She was ready to help with all information and made sure we got everything we needed. Hotel itself is nothing special, but ok for the price. Rooms are really big and nice and had everything we needed :)

We loved everything. The heated pool was the highlight but the outdoor space generally, with its beautiful trees and wild flowers was really beautiful. The accomodation interior is really tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. We would love to visit again.

This is a beautiful apartment and has all u need, 20mins in an uber u can visit faro,quarteria, quinta do lago, vilamoura about 30mins, ubers very reasonable priced , Debra your host response very quickly to you and you also have Alison who is head of the team working here she will meet you on arrival, also when we arrived there was a welcome pack of essentials to start to stay , which was great, very quite and relaxing break had by all.

The location could not be better. The hosts were responsive and helpful when needed. Nice little things such as pool towels being provided were a great bonus. A really roomy and well stocked kitchen.

    Communicating only through email and WhatsApp could make...

    Communicating only through email and WhatsApp could make things difficult. (In my case, I do not USE WhatsApp, and was not set up to get the check-in instructions). There is a phone number to the property, but there is not always someone AT the property (which they had already let us know, in advance). Fortunately, we were able to reach someone who went "above and beyond" by meeting us at the property, 10:00 pm on a Saturday night, to help complete the process, and we were able to check in. Our room was spacious for two people, and very clean. Although we did not make use of the shared kitchen facilities, they too, were spacious and clean. The property is a reasonable distance from the Faro airport. A "10" out of "10".

    Almancil has loads to do and loads to see.

    Almancil has loads to do and loads to see. There are waterparks near and beautiful beaches, as well as good restaurants. I recommend it for people who want holidays as it has lots to see and the people are friendly.

    Almancil is a small town with good supermarkets, bars/cafes...

    Almancil is a small town with good supermarkets, bars/cafes and restaurants. Excellent access point via road (quick access to a A22 but without the noise) or rail to the Algarve and North to Lisbon. Within 30mins drive of a good number of golf, tennis & bowls opportunities and 15mins from beaches & market towns.

    Liked the well appointed kitchen for cooking and storing food in fridge. Aircon in bedroom was a plus. Bedroom was a good size. Outdoor living area was also great. Nice and quiet for sleeping. The beach was not really walking distance. Train was close. Shops not too far.

    Almancil is a wonderful little village, close to everything...

    Almancil is a wonderful little village, close to everything you might need and plenty of other places of interest are only 15 minutes away by car. We found that although it was full of Portuguese charm, it was a very popular holiday destination. We had the opportunity to try Juncalinho, Borges and Nuno's which were lovely and served traditional Portuguese food, which is what we were hoping for on our holiday. We also got a takeaway from Brasa Frango & Co, which was fantastic if you fancy a night in. The chicken and peri peri sauce was perfect. We will definitely go back to Almancil!

    I would recommend Almacil for solo travellers who want to...

    I would recommend Almacil for solo travellers who want to get away and see the beautiful country of Portugal. Public transport via bus are short walks away and easy to find via google maps. Key places are a short journey away such as Faro, Quarteira and Albufeira. Plenty of places to eat and also has two supermarkets, one of them being Aldi which has most things you could possibly need. I found the locals very friendly and overall i felt safe wondering around and exploring. Would i go again? no because ide rather be by the beach but thats a personal preference although the beach is short bus journey away but not really walkable as it takes around 1.5 hours to walk.

    The hotel needs a little updating. The bathroom was done and fairly new, but the bed was hard and very uncomfortable. The location is not great, unfortunately, as there's pretty much nothing around, except for 2 rather expensive restaurants. Every time I wanted to go to the town or beach, I had to take a taxi as it's quite far from anywhere, so that added to the total bill a lot. Staff, though, was lovely.

    The lady staff member was great, she gave me an extra towel and showed me how to work the shower head :) The town itself, Almancil had everything you need whether it be food from the local supermarket to restaurants and many other shops a short walk away. The people of Almancil i found very friendly, i felt safe wondering around and exploring by myself :)

    We loved it's location and close proximity to everything, there's plenty of nice restaurants and shops near the almancil roundabout. Our kids loved the play tower and trampoline on site. Ideal to burn off energy in the mornings and afternoons. Steven our host was always a simple text away to provide valuable tips and help.

    Nothing the apartment we received was infested with ants. Ended up changing accommodation after the first night and stayed in the magnolia hotel which was very pleasant. Would recommend the magnolia hotel to anyone.
