We have been coming to Alvor since 2016 and stayed over 10 times; sometimes twice a year July and September. Obviously the fantastic beach and great swimming in Atlantic ocean is the main attraction, with great weather. Then it is the fantastic restaurants. Just about any place that grills fish and meat is very good and not expensive and offer fantastic value for money. The Indian restaurants are also excellent. The town has one street that is very busy with pubs, clubs and entertainment so it is available if you want to be busy or you can enjoy nice restaurants and quite bars.Guest review byRosemaryUnited Kingdom - 8.0

The people ate so welcoming Weather is amazing Everything is so central no rowdiness suitable for young families and the more mature. Check out The Green Door, Salsa, Wok Fusion, Alvor Bar. Alvor is a fairly small resort, made up of a series of small fairly narrow walkways that are lined with the various restaurants, bars, and small shops. Most of the streets / walkways lead down to the seafront where you find the main three or four fish restaurants, that cook up the catch if the day, for the hundreds of locals, and tourists that decend into the area each evening. Alvor is very family friendly, there are no hen or Stagg parties, and no groups of people singing their favourite football chant from the outside of bars. There are families walking round of an evening, deciding where to eat enjoying their break away, removed from the normal treadmill of life. The apartment was really nice well equipped and the swimming pool was a great addition. The beach was about a 10min walk and the main town centre to Alvor was a 15min walk. You could reach the town centre within 4 mins with an uber which is a great price in Portugal. Maria was lovely and very accommodating. She let us leave our luggage at 11am although check in was not until 3pm. Thanks a million for a lovely stay and we will definitely be back again!Guest review byAilishIreland

We ranged in ages from 2 years old to 90 years old. The hotel was perfect for us. The staff were terrific. They really went above and beyond to make our reunion and celebrations as wonderful as possible. The beach is right in front of the hotel, and the village of Alvor is a pleasant 7-minute walk along the boardwalk.
