Palace is amazing , the personel described us history of this place. Rooms, corridors, staircase, azulejos have impressed us very much. I hope that we will come back here some day :) Breakfast was very good - fruits, ham, a lot of hommade cheeses, flakes for children, egss, sausages and of course something sweet. We missed vegetables but usually in Portugal it is hard to find some vegetables on breakfast in hotels.

Very accommodating, prompt responses, everything was done through whatsapp which it was great, especially if you are on the go and visiting. I loved the way I could get in the accommodation straight after my arrival, there is a code to access the main door and the key was already in my spacious and clean room. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom very clean. I especially loved the windows in the bathroom and in the bedroom. The location of this hotel is superb as you are really close to the city center, to the main attractions and to the train/bus station (just a few minutes taxi ride - very inexpensive). I was very unfortunate with the weather in Portugal, as I landed in the country I was hit with thunderstorms! Maria was absolutely kind and generous to lend me her umbrella for the day, I was very surprised and to this day very thankful! It is always great to find someone that cares for her guest so much! She went above and beyond for me. The first morning I got up very early and found out the coffee shop around the corner opened only at 9.30am and when I told Maria that I was in desperate need of coffe as I am Italian, I need coffee to function, she understood my need very well and offered me a coffee from the kitchen (even though they don't serve breakfast!) I was absolutely delighted and very thankful! I had a last minute mind-change to stay an extra night and she found a solution for me to stay in her booked out residence. So kind and generous, I could never thank her enough!

They have now a indoor swimming pool in 2016 when I came with my children even the elevator wasn’t working, now it was and the little touch of the pool after traveling it was just good
