Wow... where to start? Fantastic place, fantastic venue (historic, well-kept, wealthy villa with marvelous garden), fantastic location 10 minutes walk from the old town Sintra, fantastic outdoor pool, fantastic and so kind staff who gave us handy recommendations of visiting Sintra, comfortable room with huge bread and plentiful, tasty breakfast. I want to be back there already!

We loved everything about our stay! Location was perfect for us, in the more ‘non touristy’ part of Sintra. The owner Rui was so genuinely helpful and pleasant, really making sure everything was perfect for us. Breakfast was very good and it was lovely to be able to eat outside on the warmer mornings.

Amazing staff, they will go the extra mile, we arrived at 1030 and got our room straight away. This property is extraordinary with the best gym I have seen in a hotel that category. Asian food restaurant was unique, the breakfast was fantastic. Great location for Sintra and Cascais. Very pet friendly, my dog loved his tipi. I sincerely recommend this quiet and beautiful place.

Our stay at Quinta dos Lobos was truly exceptional from start to finish! Nestled in the serene nature of Sintra, this place feels like a hidden gem. The room was beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable, and offered a cozy atmosphere perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. One of the biggest highlights was the incredible staff—so warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. Though we made a last-minute request for a dinner reservation, they didn’t hesitate to accommodate us, and we couldn’t be more grateful. The restaurant on-site served phenomenal food, full of flavor and prepared with so much care—it ended up being one of the culinary highlights of our entire trip! To top it all off, the reception team went above and beyond. We had plans to catch a fado show in Lisbon, and they kindly helped us find the perfect restaurant for the evening. They really made sure every detail of our stay was perfect. Highly recommend Quinta dos Lobos to anyone looking to experience the magic of Sintra with top-notch service, delicious food, and pure comfort surrounded by nature. Can’t wait to come back!

    Good beaches and amenities within walking distance. Handy to Sintra, surrounding areas and Lisbon, particularly if you have a car, but public transport options were available too. Colares was relatively quiet compared to Sintra and it was great to escape the hustle and bustle. It a beautiful location, set amongst the tress and tends to be a little cooler than Lisbon, so was a very comfortable temperature, even in the height of summer.

    This location was great.

    This location was great. You can choose to stay in the town and enjoy the beach, restaurants, etc or venture to other nearby attractions like Praia Grande & Arribas Saltwater Pool, Azenhas do Mar pool, or take the trolly (or drive) to Sintra and other towns in the area. My young kids and I enjoyed going to the beach around sunset/low tide to walk the beach, enjoy the small pools of water, etc.
