We were staying nearby in January, house hunting.
We were staying nearby in January, house hunting. The town would have been much livelier in the holiday season! However there was a very good restaurant, not smart but super food, A Grelha do Zezere, which I would recommend. The reason people come here is for the nearby lake which is a centre for water sports. The town itself isn't great but the region has beautiful spots for a retreat in nature - hikes, mountain bike paths, plenty of lake/river beaches. There's not a lot of restaurants in the region but all those we tried serve amazing food.Guest review byJoanaPortugal

Staff in polite and nice to deal with. The dinner was wonderful, high grade grilled beef and a small courtesy from the house gives a pleasant impression to the paying customer. Still on the food departament, breakfast was good with diversed offering ranging from fresh fruit to scrambled eggs and bacon.
