The landlord is very friendly and responsible. The environment of the house is very good and quiet. My youngest son has autism, and a quiet environment is what we need. The house has a large yard with an automatic door, which is very safe. We can park our rental car with confidence. There is also a barbecue in the yard, but unfortunately we didn't use it this time because we were short of time. The neighbors around are very friendly. There is a small supermarket 5 minutes' drive away. The house was cleaned very well, even the hidden places in the cabinets were dust-free, the drains in the shower and the kitchen sink were very clean, I am a person with cleanliness, these are very important to me, and increase my comfort. Although we encountered one or two small problems during the rental period, the key point is that the landlord responded to us very quickly and immediately found ways to solve these small problems for us. Excellent service, they also gave us some very fresh lemons, they prepared detailed information in the rental house, including information about the police, ambulance, supermarkets, and even nearby delicious pizza restaurants, the male landlord's English is very good, and the female landlord can speak a little French. They are the friendliest and most enthusiastic landlords I have ever met, you can try to ask them what you want to know, they will be happy to answer you. Before I came to Porto, I found that many car rental companies had problems with dishonesty and overcharging. Because the landlord is a local, I asked them for information about the car rental company, and they recommended a car rental company near the airport for us. I just want to say that it is a very good car rental company, which made our trip much easier. If I have the opportunity to go to Porto again, I will definitely choose to live here again without hesitation. It was a very pleasant rental experience🤝🤝🤝

The hotel is really amazing!!! Everything was great! Everything is clean and new!!! Room is very comfortable! Breakfast is really good and tasty!!!!!!! Definitely recommend!!! Staff is so friendly and helpful!!!! If we will be lucky and come to a beautiful Porto again, 100% we will stay again in this hotel!!!

We came only for 1 night and enjoyed every minute! The staff is very friendly, helping in any way, the place itself like an oasis of beauty! Very good breakfast, that you choose from a menu. There was very little to NOT like about this resort and the staff. Truly surprising experience in a good way! The resort is small but beautiful. The room was very comfortable. Both pools (indoor and outdoor) were very nice. Steam room was a wonderful treat, as was the sauna. Food was great! We had normal expectations and were blown away by the uniqueness of this place. Staff were all lovely and very accommodating.

Absolutely adored this hotel. Marta was wonderful. Breakfast was great, but the best bit was the gardens surrounding and how tranquil it was to stay here. Really beautiful. Unlike other hotel experiences as was incredibly relaxing all The time and felt very peaceful.

This was our second stay at Pestana Douro and the hotel, its facilities and staff are simply the best. The staff is very attentive and there to help you enjoy every minute of your stay. And, there is a lot to do at Pestana Douro itself, from enjoying the beautiful rooms with comfy mattresses to trying out the gym, indoor and outdoor pools and spa services. The breakfast is super tasty, with an excellent variety of cheeses, meats, pastries, warm and cold dishes for an English and continental breakfast. The restaurant and bar serve exquisite food and cocktails. And, if you want to take a stroll around, the Douro riverside is just by the hotel!

    Sebastiao and his family were very welcoming.

    Sebastiao and his family were very welcoming. He kindly took the time to where a supermarket was located, where we could buy the best pastel de nata and he explained other useful things about the area. We loved the surrounding for privacy, relaxation, sun and swimming with easy access to Porto and the Valley. We would highly recommend this location to others.
