Great village type house surrounded by wonderful garden with oranges, lemons and a view to Pico mountain. Despite the fact that everything is a bit oldish, accomodation place is fully equipped and very spacious when traveling with family. The owner was very helpful and fast when we asked him to explain how to open a gas pipe in a kitchen in order to prepare a meal. Wi Fi connection also worked well.

This is an authentic house with a large terrace and a stunning view of the ocean and São Jorge Island – a perfect place to stay and enjoy peaceful evenings after busy days exploring the island. Very nice hotel. Good location. We were very well received. Very friendly and attentive owner. The communal areas (kitchen, lounge) are well kept and well equipped. The private double room is very nice and cosy. It was great to have a heating system as the air was quite damp. We stayed there in winter and we were mostly the only guests. Don't hesitate to come and visit Alexandra :)

    A nice little town with several good restaurants.

    A nice little town with several good restaurants. We visited in September and some restaurants were closed so we needed to book some of the more popular ones. Whaling museum interesting to understand previous culture and history of the Azores. Supermarket and a few small shops. We used this as our base. The roads on the whole were good between Lajes and other places of interest. There is a little windmill which is very picturesque especially at night when it is lit up. Lovely sunsets.

    Lajes do Pico is a small and very cute town.

    Lajes do Pico is a small and very cute town. It is clean and well maintained and has a few nice restaurants. We liked walking along the shore, eating at Ritinha restaurant, and eating Pastel de Nata at the Pastellaria.

    The discussion with owner was easy and smooth. Barbara contacted us a few days before our arrival to organise the check-in. The room was very confortable, clean and beautifully decorated. Furthermore, the hostel is located in the center of Lajes do Pico with some very good restaurants near by. Also, there is a natural pool a few minutes away by foot. It’s perfect!
