Absolutely amazing experience! Extremely high level of quality of everything, service, hospitality. I extended my stay 3 times because was not able to leave my comfort zone. Breakfast was just simply the best I ever seen in my life. I was asked many times if everything is fine, if I need something. Management and staff you are the best! Many thanks for your job. We stayed just one night before our flight. Our car rental was right next to the hotel. I liked their concept — you can bring your own dinner, there’s a place with plants where you can warm up food in the microwave, and you can enjoy free coffee and tea even in the evening. Breakfast was good. A nice hotel for a good price.

I like everything about this place: the room is stylish, quiet. From my window I could see the ocean. The swimming pool is clean and great! I also tried sauna - amazing! The hotel is placed near the beach, which is great for walks. From the other side it has plenty restaurants nearby. Highly recommed!

Lovely, big enough room, full of everything you might need for a small stay. We had a room with kitchenette and even tho we thought we not gonna use it in the end we did and it was super comfortable. Owner or staff was very helpful and nice as well, overall super happy with our stay

    Lovely area close to so many beaches and shopping and restaurants. Transportation was very easy - bus/cable car/ Uber - so easy to get around. And walking very easy for any level of fitness.

    A haven for surfers and watching them.

    A haven for surfers and watching them. Watching the sun set, stunning. Very quiet, lovely bar / cafes right on the beach and a very short walk to the local shops, restaurants. Ubers the best way to get around 3-5 Euro for 30 mins into main city Porto. Highly recommend the Majestic in Porto and then walk down to the river in Porto, loads of things to see and do. Can imagine it much busier in summer. Loved it.

    Plenty of places to visit to eat.

    Plenty of places to visit to eat. FC Porto and Sea Life Porto is very close by. It is easy to get around Matosinhos. The guests I booked in were there for work and so they didn't visit any activities but were actually setting up Sea Life which they enjoyed.

    It’s all about the beach and unfortunately we had awful weather so were unable to make the most of the location. Matosinhos itself didn’t have much to see but did have plenty of shops and restaurants.

    WE looked for a boutique type of accommodation within 10-15...

    WE looked for a boutique type of accommodation within 10-15 minutes of the da Vinci airport at Porto, away from the city centre but on a tram route, and in this case, the 500 bus that went along the sea front and segued into the banks of the Douro river. The 'hotel' only provided breakfast but coffee, home bottled water was available until around 7pm as were such snacks as were left over from breakfast. This seeming lack of facilities did not matter there was a cafe opposite, and several down the street to the tram stop about 250m away. You were spoilt for choice of eateries nearby. We did not use the pool because of the bad weather, nor did we book the use of the inhouse bikes but both these facilities make it an ideal stop or temporary HQ for those on the Camino, or venturing just on the Boardwalk northwards. We went for location, and ease of access to Porto City centre and the airport. The weather prevented any real exploring of Matosinhos. maybe next time...?

    Airy, bright, handy for the sea and for Porto.

    Airy, bright, handy for the sea and for Porto. Excellent transport - metro and 500 bus round the coast with lovely views. Transport is cheap with an Andante card that you can use on both. Handy shops and restaurants.

    We arrived too early for check in, but Ana the receptionist was great and gave us information about the hotel and how we could travel into central Porto. We got back after 2130 and checked in. This went without a hitch and we were upgraded as unfortunately the bus back to the hotel was diverted and we had to walk about a mile. We ended up with a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the front of the hotel. We grabbed a late drink at the well stocked bar. We left about 0745 after grabbing a breakfast. The hotel was great as were the staff.

    Rooms very comfortable and clean with a modern, walk-in shower. We chose not to eat in the hotel so can't comment on breakfast or other meals. Great location in a quiet neighbourhood that was convenient for beaches and loads of restaurants. Public transport into Porto town was very easy - bus from right outside or a short walk to the metro.

    I was unaware when booking as i was just looking for a cheap 1 night stay before my friends arrived in Porto the next day - this is a s*x hotel. You have zero interaction with anyones face, you are then to walk through a garage door that they open and walk up to your hotel room. This place is meant for affairs or quick stop offs for sure.

Outside of Porto in beach town of Matosinhos which has good transport (metro and buses), easy access to art galleries and parks, beach, cafes and restaurants.     MyTrip Porto was our first night in Portugal. The owner organized a taxi for us from the airport and everything went smooth with the transport making it so much easier to finding your feet for the first day. The bedroom and bathroom were very spacious and comfortable to stay in.
