    I am so thankful this small hotel was recommended to us.

    I am so thankful this small hotel was recommended to us. Our host,Felipe was by far the most gracious person we encountered during are time in Portugal. The hotel was warm with so many extra touches to make you feel at home, and our room had a fantastic view of the Douro River. There was an excellent breakfast each morning. The house cat,Mia was a kick. If you are in the Douro, I highly recommend you stay at Imaginario d'El-Rei.

    The location in Duro is breathtaking.

    The location in Duro is breathtaking. Casa de Calinhas is perfect for staying one night. They recommend restaurants and wineries to visit. Idillic day. Village is very small and up windy roads in the mountain, but restaurant have delicious homemade cuisine.

    This is probably the best positioned hotel in all of Douro valley as you are down by the river. It's beautiful and peaceful and you're surrounded by nature. The hotel staff is super helpful and professional. The hotel offers activities like kayaking and stand up paddling. We stayed in the villa which had incredible views and slept so well. I'm recommending this hotel to all of my friends!

    AMAZING 🤩 honestly one of the most beautiful B&B’s we have stayed at in the world. The location is so stunning, the rooms have the most amazing view and are so comfy & the FOOD - oh my gosh, the food is incredible. We ate dinner at the hotel both nights & it was exceptional - breakfast is included and it was absolutely incredible - such a magical stay!
