From the peace and serenity and the beauty of the surrounding gardens and areas. Vineyards were a great experience. Our 2 bedroom apartment was extremely comfortable, expensive furnishings, basic and very suitable. Food in the restaurant was reasonable with a great limited choice and high level tasty dishes. I would highly recommend staying here for a few days to experience the Hotel and grounds, and local vineyards. Staff were very accommodating and helped us for all our needs. It’s comfortable, interesting, inviting and relaxing, all at once. The experience is very like staying in your own (very grand) country house, with beautiful grounds and a wealth of history to explore, complete with attentive staff (especially the wonderful Diogo, who looked after us fantastically), and a brilliant chef.
