good location for day trips, not too far from centre of Ponta Delgada. room was very comfortable, the bed was huge. I loved the cookies that they left every day. restaurant - unbelievable food, especially the tasting menu. so much choice at breakfast too. nice spa, although not very big so only went a couple of times.

Great location, directly next to main road and 4min driving from Ponta Delgada city centre and same distance from airport, on the other hand super quiet with soundproof rooms to sleep well. Beautiful and best quality furniture in apartments. Staff and service was wonderful, nothing to add here :) Thanks to cat companion we fell at home. Location at the horse farm is great to be close to nature. Photos faithfully represent reality of Lusitano Garden Villas. From here you have everywhere close, including Sete Citades. Thank you for this stay and hospitality, we would like to come back if visit Azores again.

    This is pretty interesting location and expectations should...

    This is pretty interesting location and expectations should be assessed accordingly. It is a rocky island and if you are there for sunny golden beaches, this may be not the right place. We rented a car but there are many small group excursions and trips which cover entire island. The town itself is clean and nice with plenty of restaurants and shops. It has a promenade along the shoreline and even a local bus transportation.

    I would recommend the island of Sao Miguel and the city of Ponta Delgada to everyone. This island is a hidden gem not known by most American's. I have been on every continent but this is a very special place and one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen!

    It's a very pleasant city, very clean, and has many great cafes and restaurants. It's wonderful to simply stroll through the streets and is a good base for traveling in Sao Miguel and taking excursions on the island. I really liked this city.

    Biggest town on the island. You will find... - many good restaurants - lovely streets with lots of shops - a huge shopping center close to the main area - a harbour with many shops and a decent variety of activities you can choose from like whale/dolphin watching etc. If you drive by car through Ponta Delgada you should be used to "narrow surroundings". But no worries, everybody with enough driving experience should not have a problem in Ponta Delgada.

    There were too many tourists (in August) Not as many as in Lisbon, but still more than I would have liked. Getting dinner without a reservation was difficult. If driving, the streets are very narrow, mostly one way with parked cars, and quite difficult to negotiate. it's vital to tuck in your side mirror when parking, or it will be hit by a passing car. Walking is also an adventure as many sidewalks are less than one person wide. Restaurant and bar opening days and times seem to be arbitrary. We found one good bar the first night but it was closed every time we tried to go back.

    We had a great room on the 6th floor (the highest floor) overlooking the marina. The room was always thoroughly cleaned, and all the staff were very friendly and had a good command of English. The staff were all wonderful.

    PLUSES: good location (near to airport so noisy, but I think all Ponta Delgada can hear the planes landing and taking off), away from touristic centre, well equipped kitchen, bathroom, paper towel, toilet paper, napkins, trash bags, many towels, beach towels, dishwasher, washing machine & clothes dryer, iron, hair dryer, many wardrobes, everything you need in the apartment - was there. There were many parking places always available by the block.

    Probably the best hostel in Ponta Delgada. The hostel is hotel-quality but at hostel prices. The rooms are superb, the cleanliness excellent. The kitchen is equipped like at home. Everything was perfect. The host is very kind and always available to help, advise, and meet everyone's needs. Island Bliss definitely made my trip to the island of Sao Miguel even more perfect.

    A great and cozy place with very nice hosts. We booked a week in a private room there. The kitchen is well equipped and one can enjoy breakfast/yoga session in a nice garden on the roof. The place is easy to reach by bus from Ponta Delgada, but we would definitely recommend renting a car to move around the island. The place is also very close to two nice beaches.

    Location is near to the best sandy beach in Sao Miguel and the best affordable fish restaurants ad well. Spectacular coast-line when you walk out of the door. At the end of the season (after a hot August month) I found this part of the island to still carry most of flowers. Excellent hosts and amenities, very clean.
