right in front of the beach with cute little old town in the back, we enjoyed everyday beautiful sunset, restaurants around are with good quality. if the weather there is comfortable pool, sauna instead. also not too far away to do some impressive hiking tours in the neighborhood. Definitely not to forget to mention the incredibly friendly and helpful staff, we asked Veronica in the reception everyday some recommendations or questions she is always patient to help us.

It's a really comfy apartment with a nice living room, a huge TV, a coffee machine, and everything you need. The hosts are super friendly and helpful. It's a shame we only stayed one night, but it was an 'emergency stay' because our flight from Madeira was canceled. We managed to book it for one night with very short notice. What's more, the hosts helped us a lot when we had trouble ordering a taxi for an early morning trip to the airport; they even offered to drive us if we couldn't find one.

The house is located away from main roads in a quite neighborhood. The view from balconies and patio is gorges. I wish we could spend more time on the balcony watching beautiful sunsets; unfortunately during our stay most of the evenings were rainy and cold. The house has secured on-property parking sufficient for two mid-sized cars. That is one of the best traits of this property. Some reviews mentioned a steep ramp from the gate to the house but we did not have any problem driving up and down the ramp. One just need to careful as everywhere on hilly streets of the island. Celina is a fantastic host. She gave us good recommendations regarding places to visit and eat. We tried out almost all restaurants that she recommended and they all were excellent and filled with locals, the best indication that served food was really authentic Portuguese.

- amazing view from terrace and all windows of the house. Photos on Booking.com are showing the reality. House & yard is not big, but all rooms are spacious and small "garden" is very nice. House has 2 bathrooms which is also very comfortable - very well equipped house, including wash capsules for wash machine ... - although the house is surrounded by a road, the traffic is not dense there and the place is very quiet - quick connection to transit roads and highway (5 minutes) - you don't need to drive an hour up to the hills and back - sound of flowing water from levadas across the street - walking distance to nice the ledavas Moinho & Nova - definitely worth of seeing

The property is in excellent condition! Clean, tidy, equipped with everything. It is evident that all the smallest details have been thought of and generously provided for a great hospitality experience. It was a lot of fun and definitely recommended to anyone who wants to enjoy the island to the end. The location was also perfect!

    The village was delightful, we stayed a short car ride away. It was accessed through a tunnel which was too long to walk through comfortably. We can recommend ‘The Old Pharmacy’ for lovely meals, particularly brunch.

    It's got the best weather on the island.

    It's got the best weather on the island. It's far enough away from the hustle & bustle /crowds & traffic of Funchal, but close enough to everything to access the sights. It was more peaceful here and homey. We really loved our hotel (Zino's Palace).

    Its a lovely small coastal town, but parking is a massive problem, with many people parking on the pedestrian path, and yellow lines. If I was visiting for the day, I would have gone elsewhere, but as a guest staying for 3 days, we spent many hours trying to park legally. Beware you can be clamped despite no road markings or signs, or restricted access.

    A quiet little town, with nice streets and observation decks. There are several restaurants and only one shopping center in the center. It's a very nice sunset and it's always nice and warm here.

    Great walks (Levadas) in the area. Accommodation was outstanding. Immaculate inside! Great outdoor space. Extremely kind and caring Host. Private parking space. One of the best places we have stayed at.

    We loved the location in the heights of Ponta do Sol, the view is stunning from both terraces. Very quiet area at the end of a steep road. The house has everything that you need, it’s nice, spacious and very comfortable. Rudolf is such a nice host, we loved the little touches and veggies from the garden. We higlhy recommend this place !
